£45M powerhouse has made decision about joining West Ham after summer talks
Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko has made a decision about joining West Ham after holding talks with the forward
West Ham made the big decision to add Gianluca Scamacca to the side this transfer window after the Italian star had an impressive season last year – but there has been some talk that they are also interested in adding another forward – and Sesko is a man that they have eyed up
He scored 11 goals in all competitions last season and has started this campaign with Salzburg with two goals in three games, also scoring the only goal in a friendly win against Liverpool last month
At 19 he already has a number of caps for his national team and is regarded as one of those young strikers that has the ability develop into one of the very best forwards in world football
West Ham are one of the clubs that have held talks with the player in recent weeks – along with the likes of Newcastle United and Man United – but it seems that his decision has been made
Sky Sport Austria, though, are now reporting that Sesko has decided that he wishes to stay at Salzburg for the 2022-23 season despite the interest from West Ham, United and Newcastle.
‘Benjamin Sesko wants to stay in Salzburg for another year so that he can make the leap like Erling Haaland,’ Sky Sport Austria reporter Marko Stankovic said.
‘That’s Sesko’s plan. Next year we will talk about a really good transfer.’
