WEST HAM Women have signed Canada international Shelina Zadorsky, it has been revealed.

Zadorsky, who will wear the No14 shirt, has made 56 appearances in the Women’s Super League for Spurs, where she has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons.

The defender joins on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season, after the London giants made the decision that she was not needed for the remainder of the season and want her to get some much needed game time.

Having worked with Rehanne Skinner in north London, Zadorsky is pleased to be linking up with her again for the remainder of the campaign.

“I’m delighted to be joining West Ham United,” she told West Ham TV.

“Being a defender, I hope I can bring a new presence to the backline and ultimately, help the team to more clean sheets in the second half of the season.

“I think the Club has so much potential. I’ve also worked with Rehanne before and we have a great relationship. She’s a coach that knows how to get the best out of me.

“I feel like this is a really exciting group and I’ve already been welcomed in by everyone here. I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

At Tottenham she was not getting the game time that she wanted, and needed to make this move as sitting on the bench every week is not doing anything for her career.

WEST HAM are getting a very solid player that will add some more depth to the side.
