Football legend announces Chelsea fans ‘will see the best’ of £88Millian star
Andriy Shevchenko says he is confident CHELSEA will see the best of Mykhailo Mudryk in his first full season with the Blues.
The winger struggled to make an impact in the Premier League following his £88.5million arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, and there are many people out there that believe he is not quite good enough to be at the Blues.
But he has been working hard in pre-season to impress boss Mauricio Pochettino and Ukrainian legend Shevchenko has been watching the ace in pre-season and says he’s getting his confidence back.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Speaking to talkSPORT’s Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose at the Game4Ukraine training day, the former Blues striker said: “I’m very excited to watch Chelsea this season, especially with a Ukrainian player, Mudryk, there.
“I’ve been watching their pre-season friendly games in America and I think he’s getting there, the team is starting to play very good football.
“Always the expectation is very high for him, the club spent very important money and also they signed him on a very long contract – that means the club believe in him.
“Obviously he had a very slow start, but I’ve been watching him in pre-season and he looks sharp.
“I wish all the best for him to start the season well and show all his quality.”
WILL MUDRYK COME GOOD?
Mudryk is a very exciting and gifted player – he is destined for big things and under the guidance of Pochettino – Chelsea fans should see the best of the man.
This upcoming season for CHELSEA is massive and Mudryk will have a big part to play – there has been so many disappointing signings for Chelsea as of late – fans just want to see the player that excited so much at Donetsk.
