Shock Haaland message sent, Man United told new signing to be success and German gives green light for deal after United offer £200,000-a-week deal
Man United make Goretzka offer, Varane to be success and Haaland message sent in top Manchester United news…
Erling Haaland may stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond next summer despite the release clause in his contract, manager Marco Rose has told the likes of Manchester United
It is no secret that Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the Bundesliga hitman and were linked with a transfer move for Haaland at the beginning of the transfer window.
But adding Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho to the squad has meant most of the transfer budget has been taken, and United are not willing to pay that massive £100 million asking price that has been placed on his head.
But the prolific Norwegian striker continuing to generate plenty of rumours after starting the new season with two goals and a couple of assists in a 5-2 mauling of Eintracht Frankfurt, and there is rumours suggesting that United could make one more big transfer offer.
However, it is unlikely that United make a move to sign the striker this transfer window and were probably waiting until next summer, but they have been dealt a blow in their chase once again
“He still has a long-term contract with us. Just because the public is constantly talking about him leaving BVB next summer, that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case,” Rose told German outlet SportBILD.
“In the end, Erling has to decide for himself where he sees his future. In any case, we are happy that he is currently playing for us – and, who knows, possibly it’ll be even more than just one season if we write an extraordinary story here.”
Haaland is a world class player that has a big asking price, but it would be a shock to still see him at the German club next summer too
Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Leon Goretzka, with Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer saying they won’t pay over the odds to secure his future.
Now we all know that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a man that knows he needs to splash some serious cash this transfer window and add some players to the squad that will send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League
The Red Devils have already secured a transfer deal for Jadon Sancho, who has been signed by the club in a deal worth £73 million, and Rafa Varane is also set for a more to Old Trafford, but there is some reports that he is interested in a deal for Goretzka
The Germany international joined Bayern on a free transfer from Schalke in 2018 and he’s a regular at the Allianz Arena, scoring eight times in 32 appearances last term, but Goretzka is said to be open to leaving the club after three years in Bavaria.
Now, amid all the speculation, German outlet Bild report that United have offered the midfielder a £200,000-a-week deal for him to join the club when his contract expires next year, and Hainer will not meet the high demands of the German star
We can see just why United are very much interested in seeing a deal for Goretzka, but unless United make an offer that is simply too good to turn down, we cannot see the German leaving the Bundesliga giants this summer
The transfer window has just a few weeks left and there hasnt really been much movement but speculation for months now
Anthony Martial is confident Raphael Varane will bring success to Manchester United after sealing his move to the club
The France international is widely regarded as one of the finest centre-backs of his generation, having struck up a rock-solid partnership with Sergio Ramos at Madrid which provided the backbone for their recent success on domestic and European fronts.
He becomes United’s second big-money signing of the summer, with Jadon Sancho already completing a £73m ($101m) switch from Borussia Dortmund – and there may be more business to come before an August 31 deadline.
Varane will now be expected to develop a similar relationship with United captain Harry Maguire, with Swedish defender Victor Lindelof likely to drop to the bench to make room for the ex-Blancos star.
And after seeing the deal get announced, The 25-year-old has welcomed the arrival of his fellow Frenchman to Manchester, and has told fans that he will be a success at the club, telling manutd.com: “Varane is a big-time player.
“I don’t think he [Varane] will need too much time to adapt to his new environment, but I’m there for him for whatever little help or advice he may need.
“He has all his experience, – he’s a player who has won a lot during the time of his career at Real Madrid and also in the French national team, so I am sure he will bring all his powers, as he really is a top player and I know things are going to go well for him here at United.”
We have said it before and we will say it again, Varane was just the type of signing that United needed to make and he will make a big difference in their quest to regain that Premier League title
