Italian positioning himself to make Chelsea move, Blues in deep talks to sign defender, Hammers expecting Rice offer, Lamps told to sign striker and winger addresses rumours

Allegri wants Chelsea job, Blues in deep Simakan talks, Hammers expecting Rice offer in Chelsea roundup…

Chelsea are reportedly in deep transfer talks with Strasbourg defender Mohamed Simakan.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard made the decision over the summer to bring Thiago Silva to the club after hearing that he would become a free agent after deciding that now was the best time to leave PSG.

There were many people in the media whom believed that the ageing Brazilian would not have it anymore, that he would not be able to compete at the very highest level, but he has proven everybody wrong and is one of the best in the League right now.

However, he will not be at the club forever, meaning that Lampard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and try to sign a long-term replacement for the defender, with Simakan a man that has arrived on the shopping list.

According to Le 10 Sport, the Blues have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign Strasbourg’s Simakan, 20, who has established himself as one of the finest young centre-backs in Ligue 1 over the last two seasons, and are in deep talks to get a transfer deal done

It comes after Chelsea head coach Lampard recently admitted he was ‘a bit tentative’ about signing Silva but has been blown away by the Brazil international’s outstanding start at Stamford Bridge.

Asked whether Silva had performed even better than he expected, Lampard told Sky Sports: ‘I think so. I remember playing in the Premier League at 36 and I couldn’t play like he’s playing, week in week out. I was in and out of the team and I could feel it at that stage of my career.

‘So what I’ll say is I probably was a bit tentative. I knew he was a top player, had been a great player for a long time, but the pressures of the Premier League when you’ve never played there, he’d played in France for a long time – no disrespect.

“But yeah he probably has exceeded it slightly and really I shouldn’t have been surprised.

Reports have claimed that Max Allegri is positioning himself to become the next Chelsea boss.

Chelsea have been one club that have been linked with a move for the Italian for seasons now, and that has started up again over the past few weeks as Frank Lampard has been unable to pick up the results that many expected.

Lampard was handed some serious money in the summer transfer window to turn this Chelsea side into real title contenders, but despite spending over £200 million, Lampard has seen side fall seven points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League after the 3-1 loss to Manchester City at the weekend..

Allegri is a world class boss that has the tactical ability to compete with the very best, he has won countless trophies and has the experience to get the very best out of the players that he usually works with, he will definitely be a world class signing.

Allegri is also improving his English language skills and looking for his next job. and has opened the door for Chelsea to swoop in and make an offer, should they believe that Lampard is not the man to guide the club back to the top of the game.

THE TELEGRAPH SAYS now says that the Italian coach is hoping that he is the number one suspect to take over from Lampard if he does get the chop, and is trying to let Roman Abramovic know that he would come calling if he was needed.

West Ham are expecting a bid from Chelsea for Declan Rice in the coming days, recent reports have claimed

It is no secret that Chelsea are keen to try and secure some sort of transfer deal for the young midfielder, as they reportedly see him as an upgrade to the ageing Ngolo Kante.

It is firmly believed that Chelsea will seek to offload a number of players in the transfer window in order to help raise some transfer funds, with reports suggesting a big £80 million offer may be made by the hierarchy.

However, the COVID-19 lockdown has pretty much dampened all the speculation about new players this month, as it would be very difficult for players to complete moves with clubs being forced to keep their players isolated.

However, according to Jim White, that may not stop Chelsea from trying to make some sort of transfer offer as Lampard reportedly sees the player as the ideal man to come in and improve that midfield.

“One player Frank Lampard believes would massively improve his Chelsea team is Declan Rice,” talkSPORT’s transfer guru Alex Crook told Jim White earlier today.

“West Ham were surprised that Chelsea didn’t make a formal bid in the summer and they’re bracing themselves for that to happen, either now or at the end of the season.”

Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman has spoken out on the transfer rumours linking him with Chelsea.

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for Coman in the summer transfer window amid rumours Bayern were looking to cash in on the France international, but a man who still has three years left to run on his current contract ended up staying put.

Coman headed home Bayern’s winner against Paris Saint-Germain as Hansi Flick’s side secured a treble, but despite his great start to the new season, there has still been alot of rumours that Chelsea will try and complete a transfer deal in order to add a bit more quality to that attack.

But amid the speculation, Coman is flattered to have appeared on the radar of the London giants, but he has no intention of walking away from Bayern before the expiration of his current contract.

“It’s good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence,” the France international told SportBild.

“But I have a contract here until 2023, I’m just thinking of Bayern. It’s all good, I’m happy … ”

Coman went on to admit that he feared for his place in Flick’s team after Sane’s arrival at Bayern, adding: “I had the feeling that I could be used less often. I’m 24, that’s an age I have to play!

“Fortunately, my fear did not come true.”

Gunners legend Paul Merson has told Chelsea that they need to sign a new centre-forward.

With the likes of Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner in the squad, many would anticipate that the Blues have enough fire-power to be challenging for that Premier League title this season.

But Frank Lampard’s men have been struggling to perform this season and Werner has not been the signing that Chelsea fans had hoped, especially after netting an impressive 34 goals last season.

And Arsenal legend Merson has opened up and told the Chelsea boss that ne may need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a new striker to the side, he was quoted on the Metro: ‘I don’t know where Werner plays,’ ‘I think Chelsea may have signed him to play as a striker, but that is not working, and if his best position is off the left, then Chelsea need a centre forward.

‘No disrespect to Olivier Giroud or Tammy Abraham, but you are not going to win the Premier League with those as your front two.

‘Giroud and Abraham do great on their day, but they are not going to be in the top six Premier League goalscorers this season, or any season.

‘How many teams have won the Premier League without having a player in the top six scorers?’
