Arne SLot has sent a transfer message to Liverpool fans as the Dutchman has failed to bring in any new faces so far this summer.

When slot made the move to Anfield at the beginning of the summer, there was alot of transfer talk about the players that he could bring to the club – and to be honest, some big names were linked with a move.

However –  LIVERPOOL are yet to sign someone under their new manager, and fans are starting to get a bit frustrated that the club have not signed anyone considering the club struggled in alot of areas last season.

The Dutchman says the Reds are trying to improve their squad but adding quality is ‘not that easy’ giving the strength of his squad already.

He was quoted on the SUN: “I think I said before that the first aim is to work with these players. Of course it’s a disadvantage that many of them are not here yet, I mean the players that are already under contract.

“The positive about that is that it’s an important lifeline of the club that youngsters come into the team as well, so it’s an ideal way of seeing them in these weeks, where they get a lot of playing time as well.

“The standards are really high when it comes to bringing in new players because we have such a good team and such a good squad.

“Of course Richard [Hughes] and me and other people as well are trying to improve the squad where possible, but that’s not that easy because we have so many good players.”

Look, most of the top clubs have not done the business that many expected and to be honest – this LIVERPOOL squad is world class and one of the best. But Slot does need to make a few signings or he could struggle to keep up with Man City and Arsenal next season.

ALEXANDER-ARNOLD TALK FUELLED – 

New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has remained tight-lipped when asked about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future.

LIVERPOOL have been doing alot of business over the last couple of transfer windows adding players to the side that will help get the club challenging for titles once again, but they are also keen to keep hold of some of their biggest players.

Alexander-Arnold has been criticized for many of his defensive displays during his time at the club , but that doesnt hide the fact that he is still one of the very best players in his position.

The England star has been the subject of much speculation amid rumours of a new contract at Anfield and interest from Real Madrid, but despite being given the opportunity to stop all the speculation – Slot remained tight-lipped Slot was asked about Alexander-Arnold and said: “My answer would probably be a bit boring…

“I think it’s the same answer you’ve heard in the last five, six or seven years, contract situations are not discussed at this place. But just keep trying [to ask the question], I would say.”

TV presenter Paul Machin recently suggested that he can easily see Alexander-Arnold spending his whole career at Anfield as he’s Liverpool through and through.

“Alexander-Arnold is LIVERPOOL through and through. He is vice captain, he is heir apparent to the Liverpool captain. He is just a brilliant footballer. He’s loved, he’s a family orientated guy as well.

‘The only thing I think that would stop him from maybe seeing his entire career at Liverpool is maybe seeking a new challenge at some point down the road, but honestly, yeah, I could easily see Alexander-Arnold being a one-club man.”

GORDON TIPPED FOR LIVERPOOL – 

Dietmar Hamann says Anthony Gordon can become the Liverpool’s next Mohamed Salah.

Despite being one of LIVERPOOL biggest stars – there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media that Liverpool are open to the idea of allowing Salah to leave the club over the next few weeks.

The Egyptian star is not well into his thirties and there has been alot of speculation that new boss Arne Slot is ready to introduce some new faces to the side – and Anthony Gordon has constantly been linked with a move to Anfield.

The winger had a great season for Newcastle last season and has been tipped to join one of the big clubs – but now, amid all that speculation and rumours – Hamann has claimed that Gordon could be the ideal replacement for Salah at Liverpool.

Hamman said: “We’ve seen Anthony Gordon have a huge impact in the Premier League. He did so at Everton even when they were struggling and after a tough start at Newcastle he has battled through and he’s one of their best players now.

‘I read somewhere that LIVERPOOL is his boyhood club and I think it would be a brilliant signing, it also looks like Newcastle might need to sell some players this summer too. It depends on what Salah does.

“It’s been said for the last few years that it’s his last season and that he’s going to go in the summer. So obviously we need to find out and see what’s happening but I think Gordon would be a brilliant signing because obviously going forward, if you’ve got pace, it just changes games.

‘He had a brilliant season for Newcastle and we need somebody who steps up and scores these goals in important games.”
