Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil has confirmed midfielder ‘is on his way to Arsenal’

Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil has confirmed Martin Odegaard is on his way to Arsenal.

It has been no secret in the media that Mikel Arteta has been eager to add to his squad this transfer window, and has been linked with some big time player over the past few months.

News broke just a few days ago that Odegaard has informed Real Madrid that he would like to leave the club after not bring given the opportunity that he feels he deserves, especially after his impressive loan spell at Real Sociedad.

And that prompted the Gunners to swoop in and offer Odegaard the chance to test himself in the Premier League, a move that has seemingly been confirmed by Sociedad, who have claimed that the midfielder is now on his way to the Emirates.

“The possibility of Odegaard returning here doesn’t exist,” Alguacil said on Friday.

“He was really close, but when Arsenal joined the race and Arteta called him, Odegaard changed his mind.”

There is no doubt that Odegaard is a very special player that has all the ability in the world, so if Arteta can get the very best out of the lad, he could become a very special player at the Emirates.

We are massive fans of Odegaard and believe that he just has not been given th opportunities to test himself at the very top of the game, but now that he is heading to Arsenal, this could be the chance that he needs to prove to everybody that he can become the superstar many have expected.
