Sol hints midfielder heading to Arsenal, Arteta interested in £70 million midfielder, Gunners confident of signing £60m duo, Arsenal told £50m will get Bellerin replacement signed
Arsenal confident of signing duo, Campbell hints at Ramsey deal, Arsenal interested in Maddison and Lamptey will cost £50 million in Arsenal roundup….
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a shock move for Leicester playmaker James Maddison as a replacement for Martin Odegaard.
Mikel Arteta had been keen to permanently sign the Norway international this summer transfer window after he impressed at the club during his brief stay at the Emirates.
However, it is understood he will be remaining at Real Madrid for the foreseeable future as the Spanish giants are very keen to try and give him more chances in the first team this coming season.
And after the Gunners lost out to Aston Villa in the race to prise Emiliano Buedia away from Norwich, and then saw Dani Ceballos also leave the club and head back to the Bernabeu, the club have been eyeing up a number of possible signings.
Now, according to reputable news source The AFC Bell, the North London giants have England midfielder Maddison in their sights, and they state that the 24-year-old has emerged as a key target and a move to the Emirates cannot be ruled out this transfer window.
And Football.London journalist Chris Wheatley has confirmed that the ex-Canaries ace is indeed being monitored by Arsenal, and he even suggested that Chelsea could join the race to sign him should Hakim Ziyech depart Stamford Bridge.
Look, Maddison is a top class player that is worth alot of money, but despite the fact Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the game, they are not at the level they were justa a few seasons ago.
And the fact he could cost £70 million, he may be too far out of reach for the club.
Arsenal believes they are closing in on deals for transfer targets Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga
In the summer of 2020, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta bolstered his first-team squad significantly with several shrewd additions, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a disappointing 2020/21 season that ended with failure to qualify for Europe for the first time in 25 years.
That has led to alot of rumours in the media over the past few months that Arteta will be hoping that he gets enough funds in order to add a bit more quality to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Anderlecht rate Lokonga at around £18m and Arsenal could wait until Granit Xhaka is offloaded before sealing a move for the midfielder, with reports the Swiss star is on the verge of completing a move to Roma.
Meanwhile, White is regarded as one of the very best young defenders in the Premier League and is reportedly very much keen on making a future transfer move to the Emirates, if they can meet that massive asking price.
But according to reports on the Metro website, Arsenal are very confident that they will be very able to bring both players to the squad over the next couple of months.
Both White and Lokongo are two very decent players, and will actually add that bit of extra quality to the squad that Arteta needs to take this club forward. But with both players highly sought after, the Gunners may have to go about that £60 million they hope to complete both deals with.
Sol Campbell has suggested Aaron Ramsey could make a shock return to Arsenal this summer transfer window.
After spending over a decade at the Emirates, Ramsey decided to leave the club just a few seasons ago and make a mega money move to Italian giants Juventus, who were very keen to offer him £350,000-a-week contract.
However, that move has not really worked out and there has been alot of speculation in the media that he could make a stunning return back to the Emirates as Juventus are reportedly ready to get rid of the player.
And amid the speculation, Arsenal legend Campbell insists the midfielder has put himself in the shop window, and has hinted that he could make a move back to the Gunners, He told talkSPORT: “Aaron Ramsey makes amazing runs. The timings are to perfection, it’s incredible. He’s got a knack of getting in there.
“You need those players who can get in there. You need those guys who can smell, ‘something’s opening up here
“Turkey were playing three at the back, so Ramsey was just waiting for that gap and [Gareth] Bale found him for the first goal. He’s very intelligent with those runs.
“He’s working hard, he’s making great runs. He’s a top, top class player. Maybe he’s in the shop window!
“He might take a little return to north London and see what’s happening at Arsenal – you never know.”
Ramsey may have a good Euro Champs, but he should not be signed by the Gunners this season and they would be making a massive mistake if they did look to get a deal done
Reports have claimed that Arsenal will have to pay £50 million to secure a transfer deal for Tariq Lamptey this summer
There has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks that long-serving Hector Bellerin could be leaving the club this transfer window, with the likes of Roma and PSG just two clubs that are linked.
That has led to speculation in the media that the Arsenal board have been eyeing up an ideal replacement for the Spaniard, and have identified the exciting Lamptey as his long-term replacement.
Lamptey left Chelsea in search of regular football, a move that shocked many people, but since his move to Brighton, he became one of the best right-backs in the Premier League and is heavily tipped for a summer move
The Daily Mail write how Brighton are unlikely to entertain any offers under £50million, and firmly believe that no club are willing to pay that massive asking price after the player was hindered by injuries last season.
Amid all the speculation that Arsenal are gearing up for a transfer move, Brighton owner Tony Bloom recently suggested the clubs best players are not going to be at Brighton forever, which opens the door for Arsenal to make their move.
He told The Athletic: “The more big clubs there are interested in our players, the more we’re doing right, so I’m delighted with that.
“We know some of our best players are not going to be with us forever.
“If the right offer comes along — and it has to be the right offer — and they want to go, then they will leave.”
We are massive fans of Lamptey and firmly believe that he should be at a club like Arsenal, and for the kind of money that he is going for, he is well within that price range of the Gunners.
They would be massive fools not to make a move for the Right-back in the summer, but if they want to improve and get back into that top four, they need to splash the cash and get the right players all signed up.
