Solskjaer confirms Man United in talks with French midfielder, Solskjaer told target wants move by Director, big Sancho claim made
Big Sancho claim made, Man United still in Pogba talks and United target Zakaria wants move in top Manchester United news…
Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that defensive-minded midfielder Denis Zakaria is pushing to leave the club this summer.
The Red Devils have already signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, and with a couple of other deals in the pipeline, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to build a side that is capable of winning that Premier League title
And now they have been given a boost in their chase to sign long-term target Zakaria.
The Switzerland international has been heavily linked with a move to United for the last few transfer windows, but a move has not been able to get done as he showed no desire to want to leave the Bundesliga side.
However, Sporting Director Eberl has confirmed that defensive-minded midfielder is pushing to leave the club this transfer window, he was quoted on TalkSport: ‘With Denis, we have been trying to extend his contract since October.
‘Denis and his management told us pretty clearly that they would prefer a transfer this summer.’
United have done some business already and the signing of Sancho is a massive statement from the Red Devils
Zakaria is a solid player that is decent in the Bundesliga, but at the end of the day, the Premier League is another level to the German League and he may struggle to make an impact
But if Solskjaer is looking for depth, the right amount of money for Zakaria could be decent, but he is not really a player that will come in and make a really big impact at the club
Jadon Sanchos arrival at Manchester United can ‘galvanise’ new teammates Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba.
Sancho, who scored 50 goals and made 57 assists in 137 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, has signed a five-year deal at Manchester United after months of speculation that he will sign for the club.
He has been a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer foe more than 12 months and fans were delighted to see him make the move to Manchester, while also ending all the speculation surrounding his future
Hamann has backed Sancho to ‘be a star’ at Old Trafford and says he has ‘rarely seen’ a player who can ‘beat his man so easily’: ‘It’s a big season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United too and I expect Jadon Sancho to be a star at Old Trafford,’ Hamann told the Racing Post.
‘I’ve rarely seen a winger who can beat his man so easily, he drops the shoulder and just walks past defenders.
‘Sancho could galvanise the likes of Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba at United too. Having watched him in the Bundesliga, he makes other players better, creating chances and pulling defenders out of position, and we saw glimpses of that in England’s quarter-final win against Ukraine at Euro 2020.
‘I was surprised that he was on the periphery of that tournament, he would be my first choice as a manager.
‘In my view, not only is Sancho England’s best winger, he’s the best winger in world football and United fans should be very excited about his return to Manchester.’
The signing of Sancho is a massive statement from United and a player that will get many fans excited on a weekly basis
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the club are still in talks with Paul Pogba over a new contract.
Pogba has endured form and fitness problems across a second spell with the Red Devils, but his ability remains without question and he can be a match-winner on his day.
United have always maintained that they have no intention of letting the Frenchman leave the club at any stage during his time in Manchester, despite all the rumours that he wants out and wants that move to Real Madrid
Now, amid the reports that United are still in talks to try and get Pogba all signed up, Solskjaer has opened up and given fans an update on the situation regarding the future of Pogba
Solskjaer said on Goal: “The talks are ongoing between Paul’s representatives and the club’s representatives.
“All that I’ve ever heard with Paul is he’s looking forward to the season.
“There’s always speculation about Paul, the talks between Paul and his representatives, I’m not in the detail of every single one, I’ve got nothing to say really, about that.
“We’ve seen Paul at his best, Paul knows what we feel about it and I’ve enjoyed my time working with him and hopefully we can continue working together.
“Whenever he has been here, he has been so professional, he’s always ready to give everything for the team and that will be the case if Paul stays here, or he might stay for even longer. Paul is a very good player.”
Look, Pogba is a player that has never fulfilled his potential at the club, so United should just cut their losses and sell him, get some money to use on players that actually want to be at the club
