Harry Kane move to be made? Solskjaer opens up on possible Manchester United deal for big striker
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly dropped a transfer hint about Harry Kane, after Roy Keane’s comments about the Tottenham striker at the weekend.
It is no secret that United are in need of adding a big time striker to their squad in the coming seasons in hope of getting back winning the Premier League and they have been constantly linked with a transfer move for Kane, who is now regarded as one of the best finishers in the game.
The Englishman is now 26-years of age and has scored an impressive 122-goals for the Spurs, but there is a feeing that he is becoming frustrated with the clubs inability to win silverware on a year basis, and despite his loyalty, is reportedly considering his future at the club.
And that has led to speculation in the media that United may try and take him to Old Trafford at the end of the season, or even during the January window, as they are in dire need of adding a forward to the front line after they let Romelu Lukaku leave during the summer window.
And legend Keane opened up at the weekend and claimed that United do need to add a striker to their squad, and need to go out and try to get Kane, a comment to which Solskjaer replied on the Sky Sports website: “Roy’s quite straightforward isn’t he? For us it’s working hard, getting Anthony back is going be a massive boost for us and I’m sure when Anthony comes back that’ll help Marcus as well.
“There aren’t many Robert Lewandowskis and Harry Kanes, they’re like Alan Shearer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy – fantastic players.
“Ours are different types of players but I like someone who can finish half a chance and he does that. Marcus’s played with Harry and knows how good he is but he’s a Tottenham player.”
Look United are one of the biggest clubs out there, we all know that but they are seriously lacking world class players like Kane, who would once again give them the it factor they have been missing for the last few seasons.
Kane or a striker like Kane would be great for United, it is just a case of whether the United board and Solskjaer have the ambition to try and land a big-time hitman.
