Solskjaer told Mbappe has decided to leave PSG, Koeman will sell superstar Man United target in January, Man United told Haaland clause, £85m star opens door to possible deal
Koeman to sell Griezmann, Mbappe to leave PSG, Haaland release clause details revealed and Lautaro opens door to Inter exit in Manchester United roundup….
Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly ready to let France star Antoine Griezmann leave Camp Nou in January, alerting the likes of Manchester United.
Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019, having established himself as one of the world’s best forwards while winning the World Cup with France.
After firing at least 20 goals in each of the last six seasons, Griezmann scored just 15 times in 48 games in his first season for Barca, a disappointing haul given the €120m (£107m/$134m) fee required to bring him to the club.
He has largely been played out of position since joining Barca, and because of that fact, he has not looked like the player that dominated over at Madrid for so many years and became one of the very best players in world football.
Now El Chiringuito de Jugones has claimed that Barca are expected to return for Lyon star Memphis Depay in January after their bid to sign him in the summer transfer window collapsed, and they have now decided that they will allow Griezmann to leave the club.
France star Griezmann has not been able to win a place in the Catalan side’s starting XI and the club are open to letting him go, if clubs meet their £100 million valuation in the January window.
former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently claimed Griezmann is unable to shine as he is forced to defer to Lionel Messi.
“Not playing at his position is complicated in the long term,” Wenger told beIN Sports. “At the start, the guy accepts it but, if he does not meet his needs in the long term and he feels that the position does not allow him to express his qualities, he will become discouraged.
“Today, he is a player who must play in the centre because he has a great work rate, a precision in his passes. He can be dangerous with the last pass and by scoring goals, but there is congestion because he is in the range of play of Messi.”
Inter striker Lautaro Martinez says he does not know what the future holds, with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona two clubs linked with the forward.
during the course of the transfer window, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was heavily linked with a transfer move for the Argentine striker, as he needed to add a world class striker to his exciting and speedy attack.
However, he could not get a deal done for most of his transfer targets, and in the end, United decided that a move for free agent Edinson Cavani was the way to do, despite the fact that the former PSG star is in the backend of his playing days.
But if the move does not work out, then there has been some speculation in the media that a move for Lautaro could be on the cards for Solskjaer, although they face a tough challenge in the form of Barcelona.
Martinez has gone on to score three goals in his first five Serie A matches of the season and, when asked about his future, the 23-year-old forward says he is only concerned with shining at Inter.
“I work every day to improve. Today I am an Inter player and I want to do the best of the team,” Lautaro was quoted on Tuttosport
“I’m happy, we work every day, we want to win and to bring Inter as high as possible. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, today I can say that I am at Inter and that I’m happy.”
“I thank the fans for all their affection,” he added. “The same goes for all the people who work for the club and who have always been close to me.
Manchester United and Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe’s days as a Paris Saint-Germain player are numbered, according to Adil Rami.
Mbappe has shown startling form in the early years of his career, following up his 33 Ligue 1 goals in 2018-19 with 18 from 20 games in the truncated subsequent campaign, and This season he has begun with six goals and three assists in four starts and an appearance off the bench for PSG in their domestic campaign.
However, there has been some big speculation in the media that he could leave PSG at the end of the season and make the move to one of the big Leagues in world football, with United ready to take him to the Premier League, and Madrid ready to take him to La Liga.
Madrid lead United in the chase, but anything could happen if the right amount of money is offer, and Rami is convinced Mbappe is planning for a future away from the Parc des Princes.
Speaking on RMC Sport show Top of the Foot, Rami said the lack of news about a new deal for Mbappe at PSG makes his exit an inevitability.
“I think it’s done, especially since it’s not moving forward in the [contract] discussions,” Rami said when quizzed on the possibility of the Frenchman signing for Madrid.
“You have the impression that it annoys him to talk about it, he does not talk about it with the club, his entourage.
“And from the moment where it annoys him, it means he does not want to hear it. It is awkward for him.
“His future is all mapped out and it’s sad for the Parisians, even for Ligue 1. I love this player.”
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester may be able to sign Erling Haaland for just €75 million in 2022
Haaland became one of the hottest properties in European football at Red Bull Salzburg in the first half of the season, and The 19-year-old hit 28 goals in 22 matches across all competitions for the Austrian outfit.
That earned him a mega money move to Dortmund, where he has scored 16 goals in his first 18 outings for the German side, with his performances or the club firmly establishing him as one of the best in the game right now.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Chelsea, but it seems that United are ready to flex their financial power at the end of the season and make a move for the striker.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to make the signings that he really wanted in the summer, and had to settle with bringing in Edinson Cavani, but with the striker coming towards the abck-end of his playing days, a move for a fresher striker will need to happen in the coming windows.
But it has been claimed that Solskjaer sees Haaland as the final piece of the puzzle for United and is preparing to make a move at the end of the season, but they will now have a massive battle on their hands.
Romano has claimed that Dortmund do not want to sell their key man in 2021 and will fight to keep the striker, but he has told the likes of United that Haaland has a release clause in his contract that they may be able to activate in the summer of 2022
He Tweeted: “Erling Haaland release clause will be valid by June *2022* for €75m, Borussia Dortmund board are in love with Haaland and hope to keep him also on next summer – for sure, they have no intention of selling Erling for €75m on 2021… 🇳🇴 #Haaland”
If Romano is right and United can seal a deal for Haaland for an absolute bargain, then they should definitely make a transfer move as the forward has the ability to go on and become one of the very best strikers in world football.
