Manchester United board sent message about ‘OBVIOUS’ Ten Hag replacement
Reporter Iomie Stanley has opened up and warned Manchester United about hiring former England boss Gareth Southgate as their next boss, amidst all the speculation and rumours that he is the man that the club are keen to replace Erik Ten Hag with in the coming weeeks.
Erik Ten Hag came to Old Trafford as one of the best managers in the game – but he has been unable to handle the pressures of managing a club like Man United and has struggled to get the results needed.
That has led to alot of reports that he is only a few games away from getting the sack – although the Manchester United board are more likely to keep hold of the Dutchman for the next couple of games as they decide on what they want to do with the Dutchman.
Gareth Southgate was heavily criticised for his tactics, the dour nature of England’s display and how timid the team looks ahead of Euro 2024, but he has still been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However – amid all that speculation and rumours – Stanley has sent a clear message to that United board about hiring the England Boss: “I think Gareth Southgate done a fantastic job while as boss of England and was unlucky to not win anything.” he told icfootballnews.
“he decided to leave England after failing to win Euros 2024 and has taken some time out as he decides his next move in the game, but we are not sure that he will get those Man United fans excited.
‘He is the type of boss that will upset fans with his decisions, will play some boring football at times and will probably not be any better than Ten Hag was at Man United – there are better options out there – Southgate may not be the answer to the clubs problems.’
