Manager ‘Needs To Go To Man United’ It Is Claimed
Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has opened up and claimed that Gareth Southgate needs to go to Man United this summer.
Erik Ten Hag came to Old Trafford as one of the best managers in the game – but he has been unable to handle the pressures of managing a club like Man United and has struggled to get the results needed.
That has led to alot of reports that he is only a few games away from getting the sack – although the Manchester United board are more likely to keep hold of the Dutchman until at least the end of the season.
Gareth Southgate was heavily criticised for his tactics, the dour nature of England’s display and how timid the team looks ahead of Euro 2024.
Gabby Agbonlahor was pretty clear on Twitter that he wants the 53-year-old to ‘go to Manchester United’, so England can land a ‘better coach’.
“I’m sorry but Southgate needs to go to Manchester United and let a better coach work with these players! Brazil have schooled us with 5 debutants,” said Agbonlahor this week.
Yet while Ten Hag’s future continues to be the subject of doubt and speculation, the same can also be said of Southgate. His contract as England manager expires in December, and he has consistently avoided the opportunity to declare whether he will stay or go at the end of the Euros.
Sources said that the English FA want Southgate to stay on until the World Cup, regardless of what happens this summer, but the man himself remains undecided.

Southgate has done a decent job as England Coach – but he needs to move over and let somebody take the international squad to that next level – this side is far too good to not be winning any trophies.
