Liverpool target Thiago has told Bayern Munich he wants to leave the club for a new challenge.

Thiago has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks after new broke in the media that he is not looking to sign a new contract with the German Champions, and instead, is eyeing up a fresh challenge in the Premier League.

And that has led to reports in the media which have suggested that it is Liverpool who are most keen to try and secure a transfer deal doe his services over the next few weeks, as Jurgen Klopp looks to take the club forwards.

Now Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has opened up and revealed that the Spanish midfielder has now told him that he is seeking to leave the club over the next few weeks and seek a fresh challenge in the game.

He told BILD: “Regarding Thiago, it’s known that he told us he wanted to do something new.

“If a club approaches us that is willing to pay a fair transfer fee, we will work on it.”

Look, Liverpool are now back at the very top of the game and are good enough to attract any player they want, so if they really want to add Thiago to the side by the end of the transfer window, they will.

Premier League champions Liverpool have completed the signing of left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos.

Tsimikas helped his team to the Greek title this season, making 46 appearances in all competitions and providing seven assists, and he has opened up and announced that he is hoping to help win the Premier League and Champions League title with Liverpool.

The 24-year-old Greece international, who signed a five-year contract with the club, told the Liverpool fc website: “I’m very happy, I’m very proud to be here. For me, (it is) the biggest club in the world.

“The league here, I like a lot. I watch it on the TV and it was always one dream I had from when I was a kid to come to play in this league.

“(I want) to achieve (our) goals. To win the league again and also to win the Champions League.”

And Tsimikas has praised his counterpart Andy Robertson, who he will be battling for that number one spot at the club over the next few seasons, he added: “He’s one of the very good talents. For me, I will give my best to play.

“I know Robertson is one of the best left-backs in the world but this gives me extra motivation to work hard,”

Rio Ferdinand has claimed Thiago Alcantara would be a “dream” signing for Liverpool after seeing the midfielder star in Bayern Munich’s 4-1 win over Chelsea.

After seeing Thiago star for Bayern against Chelsea, Ferdinand praised the midfielder’s intelligence and conceded he could be exactly the type of player Jurgen Klopp needs at Anfield

“He is a conductor, somebody who controls the tempo of the game, he’s got a wing mirror so he can see behind him, can see all angles, play every pass in the game,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.
“Intelligent player, he speaks the language which is an important part of it as well.

“He’d be a dream to have for someone like Liverpool. He’s the type of player they probably haven’t got.”

Look, Liverpool are now back at the very top of the game and are good enough to attract any player they want, so if they really want to add Thiago to the side by the end of the transfer window, they will.

And for the money that he is going for, he would be a dream signing for most clubs.
