Spurs make £40m rated star Rose available for transfer this summer as Manchester United all clear to complete potential deal
Fresh reports have claimed long-term Manchester United target Danny Rose is the surprise name on a list of Tottenham players who are available this summer.
With Ole Gunnar Soskjaer looking to delve into his transfer kitty in the summer and improve on key areas in a bid to catch Manchester City, Solskjaer has identified a number of possible targets.
The back-line has been a real problem for United over the last few seasons, and although Luke Shaw has picked up his quality over the past 12 months, United are stil short in the wing-back areas.
The future of the Spurs man has been in serious doubt for some months now after coming out on numerous occasions and suggesting that he would be open to leaving Spurs if the right opportunity arouse.
And according to reports on the Daily Mail website, Spurs are willing to open talks about Rose this summer, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to free up some space in his squad.
Pochettino is hoping to freshen up his squad this summer and is keen to offload a number of fringe players at the club, with the likes of Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah and Marcus Edwards all on the transfer list.
United are in the market for some top Premier League defenders and Rose is certainly one of the best in the English game, so it is a surprise to see that he is on the market.
If United are still interested in adding a back-up or challenger for Luke Shaw, then Rose could be a great signing as he has really developed in the past 12 months and shown great quality for Spurs.
His £40 million price tag is not that high and although he would be a great loss to Tottenham, he would be a great signing for United. So it will be very interesting to see just how this one plays out in the coming months as Rose is one of the most important players for Spurs down that left flank.
