Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…

Dwight Yorke has urged Manchester United to make an audacious move for Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez as they need to add another striker to that attack in the coming transfer windows

Nunez has blown hot and cold since his move to LIVERPOOL, contributing 35 goals in all competitions but also wasting a host of chances and finding himself out of the starting XI for significant spells.

Manchester United have scored just eight goals in nine Premier League games this season – As a result, Yorke has advised Manchester United to ‘poach’ Nunez from Liverpool and says he could ‘rip up the Premier League’ at Old Trafford.

What has been said?

‘If I could sign anyone to come in at number nine for Manchester United, then I would try and nick Darwin Nunez off Liverpool,’ Yorke told SafestCasinoSites.

‘Again, I know people may scoff at that suggestion, he’s a little bit out of form, and people give him stick, but I’m convinced that there is a monster of a player in there that is waiting to come out.

‘He’s got a presence; he’s got something nasty about him and I think he’s a real handful. Manchester United need a player who can act as that focal point and give them that presence on the pitch. They need someone with Darwin Nunez’s physical attributes.

‘He’s somebody I would try to poach. If I’m looking for a number nine right now, I would take a chance with this guy. Ollie Watkins is a great striker, but I think United need someone with a bit more of a physical presence up top.

‘I’m convinced that if you played him week-in, week-out, Darwin Nunez would start ripping up the Premier League.’

Will Liverpool sell?

Arne Slot knows that Nunez is a quality player that can score 30 goals a season – he just needs to know how to get the very best out his forward.

LIVERPOOL will not want to sell to Manchester United, but for the right money, anything is possible. But we doubt this will ever happen as Ruben Amorim probably already has a few stars on his shopping list, and we are sure Nunez is not one of them.

DALOT WELCOMES AMORIM

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot is excited to work with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford after it emerged that the FC Porto boss was taking over the Premier League giants in the coming weeks.

The Old Trafford hierarchy unanimously decided to sack Erik ten Hag having decided enough was enough after Sunday’s late loss at West Ham continued their poor start to his third season in charge.

Manchester United, who sit 14th in the Premier League, have spent around £600m building a squad in the vision of Ten Hag since he was appointed in 2022 and were expected to be well up challenging for a Champions League place and maybe even for that Premier League title

What has happened?

United immediately set their sights on highly-rated coach Amorim, who is preparing to lead Sporting against Estrela da Amadora in the Primeira Liga on Friday night, and informed Sporting that they would meet his 10m euros (£8.4m) release clause.

Amorim will take charge of United on November 11 once he has fulfilled his obligations at his current club.

United have paid around £10.6m to appoint the former midfielder, which included extra payments to release him from his 30-day notice period. His first game in charge will be against Ipswich on November 24, live on Sky Sports.

Dalot welcomes new United boss.

Dalot is looking forward to getting started under the new manager: “He is a fantastic coach and knows what he wants. Very demanding is what i can expect. It’s a perfect match for a club like this.

“He has high standards and I hope it can be a good match. I hope we can win together.

“The Premier League suits people from Portugal. We have a culture of constantly trying to improve ourselves as we come from a small country.

“I really hope that it is one more case. I am really excited to start working with him.”

ANTONY WANTS EXIT

Brazilian Antony wants to move from Manchester United after failing to make the impact at the club that many fans would have liked after impressing at Ajax and is keen on a loan move in the next window.

The winger has failed to put together any sort of consistency since his move to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer of 2022 and has looked nothing like the player that dominated at Ajax.

Ten Hag has publicly backed the £86million man, despite his woes in front of goal. But according to many reports in the media – he is a player that is really considering leaving the club when the opportunity arises.

Antony has seen just one minute of game time for Manchester United this season and has told the club he wants to leave on loan, according to The Sun.

IcFootballnews View…

Antony has been awful since his move to Old Trafford and has not looked good enough to play in that Manchester United side – so letting him depart the club in the coming windows will be a good decision to make.

Ten Hag would have liked to get the very best out of the Brazilian star – but he simply cannot adjust to life in the Premier League and to be honest – United need to get rid of the players that cant perform.

If he wants to stay and fight for his place at the club – great – but he needs to step up his level a couple of times before he is good enough for Manchester United.

So when the January window opens up – we would not be surprised to see him depart the club
