Star will be Liverpool player this summer – £60M ace tempted by move – £50M star sent Liverpool move message
Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
David Ornstein has said that Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara will not leave Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer transfer window.
A hip injury ruled Thiago out for most of last season, with Jurgen Klopp not able to start him since the 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in February.
The Spaniard’s frustrating campaign epitomized LIVERPOOL ’s mood overall as he struggled to make an impact in 2022-23, and there is a feeling that he could be sold this summer.
A report last month claimed Thiago is wanted by former club Barcelona, where he emerged as a youngster over a decade ago, but there has also been talk that a move to Saudi Arabia could happen.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
Recent reports from Fichajes, Thiago Alcantara is seriously considering an offer to leave amid interest back in Spain, as he is wanted by both Sevilla and Real Sociedad
However – it seems that he will not be going anywhere this summer – with Ornstein saying: “Maybe some thought it would have been Thiago Alcantara, but he is expected to stay at the club.”
Thiago is a world class player that is just not Premier League material – his body cant handle it.
If a right offer does arrive then maybe Klopp will be open to selling – but Thiago would definitely be interested in making a move back to Spain.
If he does decide to leave – he will be a big loss to the squad as he can be brilliant at times for LIVERPOOL – it is just a shame that he has been hampered by injuries.
However – despite the latest rumours – we cant really see him leaving the club.
LAVIA SENT LIVERPOOL MESSAGE –
Gab Marcotti has stated that Romeo Lavia will find life ‘very different’ ahead of his rumoured transfer from Southampton to Liverpool.
Lavia is a lad that Liverpool are very much interested in signing this summer as Jurgen Klopp is keen to replace the departing Fabinho and Jordan Henderson – and it has been claimed that personal terms have already been agreed.
However – the deal is not close a LIVERPOOL are not offering the kind of money that Southampton want – and the two clubs cannot agree on what money needs to be paid.
But ahead of his potential move to Anfield – Lavia has been warned that life will be very different to the one that he is enjoying right now.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“This is remarkable,” said Marcotti. “He was at Manchester City. He moved to Southampton for, I think, under £20 million. He has had a very good season.
“But, all of a sudden, Southampton are talking £50 million. I think Liverpool see him as an alternative. For this to happen, they need to shift Henderson and Fabinho. It does feel like a really big step up when you consider the guy isn’t even 20 yet.
“The thing about Lavia that makes it interesting is when you watch the Premier League, there is almost like a divide because you have got the big dominant teams of 60-70% possession, the other teams don’t and they are always changing.
“He isn’t just coming from Southampton. He is coming from a bad relegated Southampton with three managers.
‘Playing for LIVERPOOL is going to be a very different experience. Before that, he did come through the ranks at Man City, so he is comfortable in that big club environment.
“You could ask the question ‘why didn’t Pep (Guardiola) believe in him a little bit more?’ Does Pep know something that we don’t? Was there just no room for him at Man City? Those questions would come into it.”
DIAZ WILL BE TEMPTED BY MOVE –
Jurgen Klopp has been told to accept a “£60m” offer for LIVERPOOL Luis Diaz – would may be tempted to quit the Reds.
This summer has been the rise of the Saudi football – after all the big sides starting forking out money to sign some of the best players in world football on massive wages and deals.
Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are just two LIVERPOOL players that will be leaving the club this summer and heading over to the big money offers of Saudi Arabia.
Now it seems that Al Hilal have set their sights on trying to prise Luis Diaz away from the Reds.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
The Record report has claimed that Diaz is wanted by Jorge Jesus at Al Hilal for a paltry €50m and they are ready to give him the kind of wage that would almost triple his current deal at Anfield.
However – the report adds that Liverpool have no intention of letting the winger depart and not for the €50m that is being talked about.
But now Klopp has been told that Diaz may be interested in a move to Saudi Arabia and to accept a fee of £60 million for the man.
Frank McAvennie told Football Insider: “For £50m/£60m for him definitely.
“I like Diaz as a player and he looked good the other night. I think he could have a good say in what is happening at Liverpool this year.
“If they can get £60m for him I would take it because I think Jurgen can find a better player for that.
“I think he has got skill but he was running like a headless chicken sometimes last year. I do not think Jurgen has got time for that.
“I think he would like it over there, there would be no pressure and he would be able to show boat a little bit. Whether they keep him or not, I think he would want to go.“
COULD DIAZ BE TEMPTED BY THE MONEY?
Diaz is a young man that has a big future in the game and many are expecting him to have a much better season this coming campaign than what he had last year – plus LIVERPOOL have shown no desire to let him leave the club.
It is crazy that he is being linked with a move away from the club – but we cant see it happening guys.
