Wow! £300K-a-week star tipped to complete stunning move to Arsenal

John Barnes reckons Raheem Sterling could ditch Chelsea for a move to Arsenal this transfer window.

The England star signed a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months last summer and was hailed as a world class signing for Chelsea, but that will not stop the leadership letting him go.

He has failed to make the impact expected at the London giants after the move from Man City – and looks nothing like the man that scored 20-goals a season for Pep Guardiola.

According to recent reports on Fichajes, Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Englishman this month, just six months after Sterling left Manchester City to join the Blues.

Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Sterling and wanted him at Arsenal in the summer – but did not want to match the high fee and the massive wage that Chelsea offered the Englishman.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours – John Barnes has claimed that Sterling could not ditch Chelsea and make a move to Arsenal – He told BonusCodeBets: “I don’t think Raheem Sterling will go back to Man City despite the rumours of him wanting to leave.

“If Arsenal were interested in Sterling and guaranteed him to play in the first team every week, then maybe that is the best decision for Sterling to make.

“If Sterling did go to Arsenal, who would he replace? He does not walk into that team, he has to decide to go to a team who will play him consistently.”

We do not believe that Chelsea will let Sterling leave this transfer window – he has played a big part for Graham Potter so far – and the fact he is injured until February means that it will be hard to get him off the books.

But why would Arsenal want to sign a man that has flopped so much at Chelsea?
