Raheem Sterling hails the Chelsea arrival of South American – ‘he’s the exact person that we need’
Raheem Sterling has hailed the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino at CHELSEA after his move to the club was confirmed.
The 51-year-old Argentine, returns to the Premier League following previous spells in charge of Tottenham and Southampton, permanently succeeds Graham Potter.
Pochettino had been out of work since being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain last summer after 18 months in charge, but had been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Tottenham before Chelsea swooped in with a move.
Now – Sterling has hailed the imminent arrival of Pochettino – According to Arab News, Sterling said: “From his time before at Tottenham, I heard a conversation about him and he’s the exact person that we need.
“He will bring leadership, he will challenge players physically and mentally.
“I feel he is going to come here and he is going to have the personality that everyone is going to respect. That’s what we need, someone in charge.”
“We have a good squad, the quality is there,’ Sterling added. “We will add some players and some will leave, I get it, but there’s no doubt in my mind we will be challenging again very soon.
“My first two years at City, it was not all beauty. We had to build step by step and that’s exactly what we have to do here at Chelsea.”

This is a very smart decsion from CHELSEA to bring in a world class coach that knows the Premier League – Pochettino really is a classy manager.
If he gets the players he needs – if he gets the backing of the board – then he will have a very successful time of it at Stamford Bridge.
