Stunning! Chelsea statement confirms most shocking transfer move of the summer!
CHELSEA winger Raheem Sterling has completed a season-long loan move to Arsenal – which came as one of the biggest transfer shocks of the summer when it emerged that Arsenal were interested.
After being dropped by Enzo Maresca for the opening game of the season against Man City, then having his shirt number taken off him and then dropped from the squad completely – there has been alot of speculation about Sterling.
At one point he looked set for a move to Saudi Arabia – but turned that down as he wanted to stay in the Premier League, which led to reports that Manchester United were working on a deal for the striker, but they opted against a move.
Then news broke on deadline day that Arsenal were working on a deal to sign the winger and after a few hours of rumours and talks – it was announced by the Blues that Sterling has joined the Gunners on loan for the season.
The Blues posted on the cub website: ‘Raheem joined the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and has scored 19 goals across 81 appearances.
‘He will now spend the remainder of the campaign at the Emirates. Good luck, Raheem.’

The fact that there was such a short statement from Chelsea just showed how much disrespect they had for a player that has achieved so much in the game – Sterling needed to get out of CHELSEA.
He may be joining a side that he will not play every week – but he will offer something to that Gunners attack this season and could score a few goals – Mikel Arteta is a man that knows what he wants, and he wanted Sterling.
It will be interesting to see how he does this season – but he could be a brilliant signing for Arsenal
