Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted ARSENAL don’t need CHELSEA star Raheem Sterling despite reports linking Mikel Arteta to a possible summer reunion with the winger.

The 28-year-old enjoyed seven successful seasons at Man City before his move to Stamford Bridge last summer, scoring 131 goals at the Etihad and winning four league titles.

But the winger has flattered to deceive following his £50m move from Manchester, scoring four goals in 18 Premier League appearances, and there has been speculation that a move to the Emirates could be on the cards.

However – amid the speculation – Agbonlahor says Sterling has been a brilliant player over the past decade but insists on current form he would not get in the Arsenal team ahead of Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli

Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “I don’t think Arsenal need Sterling.

“I can’t see him being a player they look at.

“They’ve got Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli, Trossard – there’s no room for Sterling.

“I can see him wanting to prove himself at Chelsea. He can’t take the easy way out after one season because it doesn’t look good.

“He’s got to deliver for Chelsea now.”

Sterling was one of the best attackers in the game during his time with Man City – he was a 20-goals a season man, but at Chelsea he looks nothing like that.

He really has been a waste of money for CHELSEA and quite honestly we can see him leaving the club at the end of the season. But it will not be ARSENAL that he leaves for, they do not need the man and shouldnt waste their money on him.

Arsenal free to move for Mac Allister –

It has been claimed that Brighton star and ARSENAL transfer target Alexis Mac Allister has told people close to him ‘he is ready to go’ this summer

Brighton lost Leandro Trossard in the January window and did not want to lose another one of their star players – so the decision was made to keep hold of the World Cup winner until at least the summer transfer window.

but in the afternoon when Mac Allister once again showed why so many clubs are interested in the player – It’s suggested the 24-year-old has told people close to him he is “ready to go” this summer.

Football Insider say the Seagulls rate the World cup winner at £70million amid interest from Prem giants.

It is very easy to see just why Brighton are so keen to make sure that they do not lose another one of their best players – Ma Allister has been brilliant this season – but at the end of the day – it is time for him to go.

He wants that next step in his career and wants to be playing at the top of the game – so we are sure that this will be his last season with the Seaguls – but they will get alot of money in the process of his sale.

Zaha claim made –

ARSENAL are set to fight it out for the free transfer of Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha, according to reports.

Regarded as one of the most dangerous wingers in the Premier League – Zaha has been tipped to leave Crystal Palace for many seasons now – but his asking price has been way too high.

However – with his current deal finishing at the end of the current season – Arsenal have once again been linked with a move for the attacker – as Mikel Arteta wants to add a bit more depth to the squad

Zaha scored 14 league goals last season and has continued his impressive form this term, hitting the back of the net five times – and many feels the 29-year-old would strengthen most top-six teams but especially Arsenal

The 30-year-old looks set to end his second spell at Selhurst Park this summer when his contract expires – and the likes of Arsenal are ready to make a move for the player – as Mikel Arteta is a fan, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook said:

“It certainly seems that Wilf Zaha’s stellar career at Crystal Palace could be coming to an end.

“His contract is up at the end of the season – no imminent sign that he is willing to extend.

“And if he is to go and achieve his ambitions of playing for a top club, it’s now or never really isn’t it?

“When you look at his age, the fact that he’s available as a free agent, he either commits his future to Crystal Palace and then probably sees out his top-flight career there.

“Or he goes off and tests himself, I think there will be suitors, I know Mikel Arteta is a fan, I know that Chelsea have certainly taken a look at him in the past as well.”
