Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today –

Valued by the Hammers at £85million, the 23-year-old has really impressed in that West Ham shirt since his move from Ajax, and Maresca is thought to be a huge admirer of Kudus after seeing him in action during his time in the Netherlands.

Many people doubted that Kudus would be abl to adapt to the quality and pace of the Premier League when he made the decision to sign for West Ham in the summer – but he really has impressed in that Hammers shirt.

The news that Chelsea are interested will not come as a massive shock to West Ham – especially as they may need a replacement for Raheem Sterling – but for the money that is being talked about is made.

£85 million for Kudus is alot of money and we are not even sure that he has the ability to score 20,30 goals a season that the club may need in the future. He would be a solid enough signing – but as we said – not for the kind of money that is being talked about.

It will be interesting to see who Maresca will get as CHELSEA boss –  The fans will expect some big named signings and not any more talents in the next few windows.

CHELSEA TO GET CHILWELL DEAL DONE –

It has again been claimed in the media that Ben Chilwell is no longer wanted or needed at CHELSEA, and reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and claimed that the Blues will look to get a deal done for the defender in the January transfer window.

He told icfootballnews: ‘The 27-year-old left-back, once a key figure in Chelsea’s defense, may be deemed surplus to requirements under the potential leadership of boss Enzo Maresca.

‘Enzo Maresca has shown a preference for a system that values ball retention and attacking full-backs with strong technical skills. His tactical approach relies on defenders who can seamlessly transition into midfield during build-up play. While Ben Chilwell has the attacking prowess and speed to bomb forward, his recent form at Chelsea has been inconsistent, particularly in terms of his defensive positioning and ball distribution.

‘Chilwell’s injury record hasn’t helped his cause, either. After a lengthy spell on the sidelines last season, the England international has struggled to recapture his best form. Maresca has opted for players better suited to his tactical vision, and that is why they have been so impressive during the opening weeks of the season.

‘Chelsea have shown a willingness to offload players for the right price as part of their squad overhaul under Todd Boehly. A sale of Chilwell in the January window could provide an opportunity for the club to recoup funds and reinvest in other areas of the squad.

‘Several Premier League clubs, as well as teams across Europe, could be interested in Chilwell, who remains a high-quality full-back when fully fit.

‘With Chilwell’s future at CHELSEA now uncertain, the January transfer window may be a pivotal moment in his career. it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chilwell leave Stamford Bridge in search of regular game time and a fresh start elsewhere.’

‘And there will be plenty of clubs that could be interested in a potential deal for the defender.’

OSIMHEN TO CHELSEA IN JANUARY?

Victor Osimhen remains very interested in playing for Chelsea and is weighing up a move to Stamford Bridge in January, it has been claimed in the media.

Chelsea have been credited with a strong interest in Osimhen for a number of years and reportedly sent a delegation to Naples on deadline day to get a deal over the line for the striker ahead of the new season.

But a proposed transfer from Napoli to CHELSEA fell through and Osimhen went on to complete a season-long agreement with Galatasaray. but there is mounting speculation that the 25-year-old could soon be on the move again.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Galatasaray are keen to sign Osimhen on a permanent basis from Napoli – but the Super Lig champions are likely to face stiff competition from Chelsea.

Osimhen’s €130million (£109m) release clause ceased to be active when he joined Galatasaray on loan and the forward will be available for just €81m (£68m) in the winter. This figure will drop again to €75m (£63m) next summer

Reporter Iomie Stanley has told icfootballnews: ‘There is little doubt about Osimhen’s credentials as a top-tier striker. Since joining Napoli from Lille in 2020, Osimhen has developed into one of the most feared forwards in European football.

‘His explosive pace, physical presence, and clinical finishing have made him a standout performer in Serie A and the Champions League. In the 2022-23 season, Osimhen’s goals propelled Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades, cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s elite strikers.

‘At Napoli, he consistently delivered goals, becoming a focal point of their attack. His ability to finish from both inside and outside the box, combined with his aerial prowess, means he possesses the complete package as a forward.’
