Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea transfer news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Chelsea is pleased to announce Academy forward Tyrique George has signed a new contract until 2027,

George has been with the Blues since the age of eight and has featured for Chelsea’s under-18s, under-21s and represented England.

He was a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s side during the second half of the campaign and was named on the bench for the wins over Everton, Aston Villa and Spurs

He has been rewarded with a new contract that will keep him at CHELSEA until at least 2027, and The Blues posted on the club website: ‘After coming through the Blues’ development centre programme, George signed as an Under-8 and progressed through the Academy ranks at Cobham.

He made his Under-18s debut at the start of the 2021/22 campaign while still a schoolboy and established himself as a regular in the side the following season, with 28 appearances made under Ed Brand and later Hassan Sulaiman.

There was also recognition on the international stage as appearances for England Under-17s were made. He has since made the step up to the national team’s Under-18s squad.

Last season, George played prominent roles across two of our Academy sides and scored several eye-catching goals.

He made 26 appearances for our Under-21s – three of which came in the Premier League 2 playoffs – while 21 outings came with the Under-18s, who ended the campaign as Premier League South champions.

There was also men’s first-team involvement. The 18-year-old trained regularly with the senior side during the second half of the season and was named on the substitutes’ bench for our Premier League victories over Everton, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Congratulations, Tyrique!’

After signing the deal – George has admitted that he looks up to Cole Palmer – and is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the CHELSEA star: ‘Someone I look up to has to be Cole Palmer. He is an inspiration,’ explained George.

‘Everything he does on the ball looks so effortless but holds so much skill and value. He remains calm in high-intensity situations and never lets the occasion get to him.

‘He is ruthless with his attacking and just consistently finds the breakthrough – something I have been working on.

‘The experience I got training with Cole and the rest of the squad was priceless. It taught me so much about ways to elevate my performance, along with carrying the correct mentality to strive to be the best I can be.’

OLISE SPOTTED –

Michael Olise has been spotted in France as Chelsea look to wrap up a deal for the Crystal Palace winger.

The transfer window is just a few days away and although the Blues have only just hired a new manager – there is still alot of transfer speculation surrounding CHELSEA and players that they could sign.

Olise enjoyed a productive season with Crystal Palace despite only playing 19 Premier League games due to an ongoing hamstring injury, as the winger struck 10 goals and provided six assists in the top-flight as Palace finished 10th under Oliver Glasner.

Chelsea attempted to trigger the 22-year-old’s release clause last summer but the player ultimately signed a new deal with Palace, but the Blues are expected to delve back into the transfer window for the Frenchman regardless if the new manager wants him.

Another reason why CHELSEA may feel the need to get a deal across the line early is Olise’s participation in France’s Olympic squad. The attacker missed out on his country’s squad for Euro 2024 but has been selected by Thierry Henry to represent his nation at the home Games.

The football event starts on July 24 and ends on August 9, with France expected to go far in the competition. It seems Henry is asking for his players to meet up in good time, with Olise already spotted in France this week.

CHELSEA could be a good option for the player as they need someone like Olise to come in and help that attack – that struggled to impress at times last season. The only worry is that the new manager doesnt feel like he could suit the new system.

But if they manage to get the player – he could be a great signing.

DURAN EXCITED –

It has been claimed that Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is very excited about making the move to Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea had expressed an interest in signing Duran in the January transfer window, but failed to get a transfer deal done as Aston Villa had no intention of letting the star leave half way through a very exciting season.

However – CHELSEA are in the market for a new striker this summer and according to Colombia’s Guillermo Arango, the club have now reached an agreement with Villa over a £42m transfer fee.

Now –  according to a recent report on The Telegraph.  It’s said a deal between the two clubs is broadly agreed, with Chelsea facing a few hurdles before completing a £40m move.

Now – According to the Standard, Jhon Duran is excited by the prospect of proving himself at Chelsea.

They have reported that the Colombian international is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, despite being happy at Villa Park. It has been claimed that Chelsea are confident of landing the 20-year-old.

Duran thinks he would be a good fit for Maresca and Chelsea.

We are sure that Duran is a very good striker and could develop into an even better one – but at the end of the day – he is no better than Nicolas Jackson – he is no better than Christopher Nkunku – it could be a waste of money.

CHELSEA needs to sign a striker that can bang in 20-30 or even 40 goals a season – we cannot see Duran doing that even in the best of Premier League sides – he cant even get the game time he wants at Villa.

Chelsea fans will surely be hoping this is not true as he is not the player that will bang in the goals and send a statement to the rest of the Premier League
