Chelsea told to sign Aguero, Tuchel asks for Marquinhos signing, Kante transfer message sent, Aguero told to sign with Chelsea in Chelsea roundup…
Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand called on Chelsea to keep City’s Sergio Aguero in the Premier League and make a move.
Regarded as one of the finest strikers in world football right now, there has been alot of speculation in the media that Chelsea are one club that are lining up a massive £90 million offer in the transfer window to get a deal done for Erling Haaland.
Thomas Tuchel wants to add a striker to the squad that is able to land 30-goals a season and is hoping that he gets the funds to delve into that market and beat off Real Madrid and Barcelona to the signature of Haaland.
However, if he cannot get a deal done for Haaland, then There has also been some rumours in the media which has suggested that Chelsea maybe keen to swoop in and offer Aguero a chance to stay in the Premier League.
Despite being a legend at City, Aguero is a man that will be seeking a fresh challenge in the summer after failing to agree a new contract, and Ferdinand has told Chelsea that they should try and get a deal done for the Argentine superstar.
“I think he stays in the Premier League,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube show.
“If I’m Chelsea, I take him now. If I’m Chelsea, I go and get him quick.
“Have you seen Chelsea’s stats, by the way? They’re my team to win the league next year.”
Thomas Tuchel has asked Chelsea’s hierarchy to sign Marquinhos from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic made the big decision to get rid of the Chelsea legend after a disappointment few weeks of results, and opted to make a move to bring Tuchel to the club after he got the sack from PSG.
The German coach has made an amazing start to life at the Bridge by guiding the Blues to an FA Cup final and a Champions League semi-final, where they are favourites to get past Real Madrid to play Manchester City in that final.
But with the transfer window just a few months away, the German also knows that he needs to start planning for next season and adding a world class centre-back to the squad is high up on his list of things to do in the transfer window.
And according to the Sunday World, Tuchel has put forward his own list of recommendations to Chelsea’s board and one of the names proposed is Marquinhos.
The Brazilian has established himself as one of the very best centre-halves in world football right now and is attracting all sorts of interest after helping PSG reach that semi-final of the Champions League.
Chelsea, however, will face a tough task of reuniting Tuchel with Marquinhos as the 26-year-old will still have three years remaining on his contract with PSG this summer.
We have been massive fans of Marquinhos for some time now, so if Chelsea are able to get a deal done, he will be an outstanding signing for the club, Evan at that £60-70 million asking price that he is reportedly going for.
Ian Wright has urged Sergio Aguero to pick Chelsea as his next club after he leaves Manchester City at the end of the season.
‘I think that decision has come from Pep Guardiola, Pep Guardiola doesn’t want him there anymore,’ Wright said on the Metro. ‘I heard his [Guardiola’s] interview [after the Crystal Palace win], “What a goal, what an action, what a player, what a man, I’m incredibly delighted he’s back”, none of that makes sense to me. The fact we now know he’s leaving, it doesn’t make sense.
‘He was so sharp against Crystal Palace. How a player of that calibre, as good as he is, is not starting against PSG [in the Champions League semi-final first leg] when you saw the chances they created where they didn’t have a No.9, you saw the way he took his chance against Palace, you’re thinking, you need a half-chance taker.
‘We’re talking about going into the next phase for Pep to go into that place where he should be [winning the Champions League], where he’s gone with Barcelona but he needs to do it with another team.
‘You’re going into that situation without arguably one of the greatest strikers. It doesn’t make sense that he’s leaving.’
‘Can I throw something out there? He should go to Chelsea,’ Wright added.
‘When you look at Edinson Cavani [at Manchester United] and the pace of the guys behind him, you look at Luis Suarez at Atleti, the pace and everything they’ve got around him. ‘Can you imagine Aguero up top for Chelsea with Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, all those guys, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, [Christian] Pulisic around him, that’s 25 goals.
‘Me, if I’m Chelsea and I can get him for free, I’m going in. ‘I’ve fabricated this all in my head that he’s vexed with Pep [Guardiola] and it’s the kind of thing where he’ll say, “Yes, I’m going to go to Chelsea”.
Inter Milan have been told that Chelsea star Ngolo Kante would be a Wesley Sneijder-esque signing for the club
Kante is easily regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in world football and over the seasons has helped the Blues to numerous trophies with his ability to protect that back-line.
However, despite the fact he has been quality under Thomas Tuchel since he arrived at the club, there has been some reports in the media which have claimed that Inter are plotting a transfer move in the summer after winning that Seria A title.
And amid all the speculation Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has urged the newly-crowned Serie A champions to rekindle their interest in the Frenchman.
Moratti has told Sky Sport Italia when asked if Kante could be a missing piece in pursuit of future success: “Yes, of course, he is a player who has all the qualities to complete the team in the best possible way.
“I remember when we took Sneijder, we were already very strong but this player, who sped up the game even more, put us in a position to have a team that was not only strong, but exceptional.
“I believe that the same thing could happen by taking Kante, but I only say this as a fan because I know how difficult it is to sign him.”
