OFFICIAL announcement made – Arsenal have got deadline day deal done for defender

Nuno Tavares has joined Nottingham Forest on loan from Arsenal it has now been announced.

The defender completed a medical on Thursday night and a full agreement was reached over a £2m loan fee with a £12m option to buy after he was told that he would not be part of the plans this season at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta and Co. have been spending some serious money over the past few weeks and have been keen to offload a number of fringe players that they no longer require to take the club forward.

HERE IS THE REST OF THE LATEST DEADLINE DAY ARSENAL NEWS –

ARSENAL TO MAKE MASSIVE EARPS OFFER –

ARSENAL are preparing a second world record bid for Mary Earps, according to reports.

Manchester United turned down a huge opening offer for the goalkeeper earlier in the transfer window as they have no intention of letting one of the clubs biggest and best players depart the side.

Reports at the time stated that the proposal was from an “unnamed” club, although football reporter Alex Ibaceta now claims Arsenal were behind it, and According to Ibaceta and DAZN, the Gunners are now preparing another world record offer for Earps,

The England stopper has less than one year remaining on her current United contract, and the report claims Arsenal are prepared to table a ‘significantly higher’ bid than the current record fee for a female goalkeeper, which stands at £100,000.

ARSENAL ANNOUNCE M’HAND DEAL –

ARSENAL youngster Salah-Eddine Oulad M’hand has joined Dutch Eerste Divisie side FC Den Bosch on a season-long loan.

The Gunners have some of the best young talents in the game, but there simply is not enough squad space this year to give them all chance to prove themselves in the side over the next 12 months, and M’Hand has been allowed to leave.

The Gunners said: “Salah returns to the Netherlands, his country of birth and where he played his club football at Feyenoord before joining us in August 2020.

“We look forward to seeing Salah’s continued development and wish him all the best this season with FC Den Bosch.”

The full-back underwent a medical earlier this week and signed the documents for the deal today, and He will remain on loan at the City Ground until June 2024.

Forest have the option to sign him on a permanent basis for £12million

Cooper said: “I do believe there’s a couple of players, Tavares and Murillo, that are at the final stages. Not quite done, but the process is ticking along quite nicely.

“I hope I haven’t gone too soon on that because until things are officially done then you never quite know.

“There’s a lot of work going on and maybe there’s some things that are being speculated that are very true and some that couldn’t be any further away from the truth.”

EDU ISSUES TRANSFER UPDATE FOR FANS –

ARSENAL chief Edu provided fans with an update on the club’s transfer business after the Champions League draw yesterday.

Edu said: “As everyone saw, we made a strong strategy to be very proactive at the beginning of the transfer window & I think we did it. Now we are talking about trying to balance the squad a little bit better.”

“We keep talking to a few clubs, but so far, we are really happy with the transfer window and we have to say thank you very much to all the people that work at the club to make that happen – good, exciting season ahead for us!”

LUTON RESPOND TO HOLDING REPORTS –

Luton manager Rob Edwards has revealed that the club have no interest in signing Rob Holding from Arsenal.

Holding is a player that has fallen well down the pecking order at the Emirates after a number of signings by Mikel Arteta and he is a player that the club are looking to sell on.

It has been claimed that a move to Luton was on the cards – but it seems that is not the case and the new Premier League side are not interested in a potential deal for the star.

When asked about the rumours, he said: “No, nothing in that one at all so I’m not sure where that came from.”
