The boss of world class Chelsea target sends message to Blues about possible summer move
CHELSEA have been handed a Dani Olmo transfer update by RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose.
Over the past month or so there has been alot of speculation surrounding the future of Dani Olmo after his impressive performances at the Euros 2024 for Spain – in which he netted three times for the Spaniards.
Some of the games biggest and best clubs have all reportedly shown an interest in trying to get a transfer deal done for the Spaniard – who has a £58 million release clause in his current contract.
“I am still optimistic that we can definitely keep our top players here because they want to stay here too, because they know what they have in Leipzig, because they have made good steps here,” said the head coach on Friday after the 1-0 friendly win against SV Babelsberg.
Asked specifically about the Spain international’s release clause, he added: “I’m super relaxed about it, I can’t change it anyway. We’ll know tomorrow, but I’ll sleep soundly. Again, we have a good team. We will have a good team again.
“We have ideas about how we can perhaps compensate for things. And if tomorrow is the end of the day and nothing has happened, then the coach will be happy.”
Speaking to reporters, 26-year-old Olmo recently said: “We’ll see. Yesterday we celebrated all day and now I’m at the campus. The people who deal with that (transfer market) already know what I want to do. I don’t know if I’ll stay in Germany, we’ll see. I want to be somewhere where I’m valued and loved and what I want to do is win. There are several options, we’ll see what happens.
“The truth is that between the Euro cup, the celebration and the campus I have seen little of that. What I want is an ambitious project and I want to win titles.”
