Klopp told Carlos will not come cheap, Liverpool told to land £81 million world class act, Barnes makes stunning Thiago claim

Carlos wont be signed for cheap. Liverpool urged to make Koulibaly move, Thiago claim made in Liverpool news roundup…

Liverpool have been told they can’t sign Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos on the cheap this summer transfer window.

Liverpool may have one of the best defences in the game right now, but there is a feeling that Jurgen Klopp is not completely happy with his back-line and will look to improve that area of the pitch when the summer transfer window opens up.

And with one of the very best defenders in the game, Klopp will look to partner Carlos with Virgil Van Dijk next season and make the back-line even more solid that it has been this season.

The 27-year-old Brazilian has been a key player for Sevilla, but the Spanish club may be looking to cash-in, as they aim to raise funds to balance the books and improve on a few key areas of the pitch themselves.

However, according to AS in Spain, any interested club will have to pay the Brazilian’s release clause IN FULL to have any chance of landing him this summer.

The reports goes on to suggest it’s unlikely Liverpool will fork out that sort of money, as it currently stands at £68million [€75m].

Carlos has been impressing over in La Liga and if Klopp wants him, who are we to say whether or not he is good enough for the German who has turned a lot of top-class players into world class players over the past few years.

Ex-Premier League striker Dimitar Berbatov believes Liverpool should sign Kalidou Koulibaly this summer transfer window

Liverpool may have one of the best defences in the game right now, but there is a feeling that Jurgen Klopp is not completely happy with his back-line and will look to improve that area of the pitch when the summer transfer window opens up.

And that has led to speculation in the media that a move to try and sign Koulibaly could be on the cards for Liverpool although they may have to battle Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea for his services.

But amid all the speculation, The Bulgarian says the Reds do not need to add too much to their squad in the transfer market but Koulibaly would be ideal.

He said on Goal: “I’m not sure they need to change too much, maybe a centre-back better than Joe Gomez to play with Van Dijk.

“Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli would be an excellent signing, but apart from that the Reds have an excellent team.”

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is an ongoing link but Berbatov isn’t convinced.

He added: “I see they’ve been linked with Thiago, and I like him, but if he comes, who doesn’t play so he can start?

“He can play with Fabinho and [Jordan] Henderson and they will be even more powerful, but I’m not certain they need him.”

Thiago Alcantara wouldn’t go straight into Liverpool’s first team, Reds legend John Barnes has opened up and claimed

The Bayern Munich midfielder looks set to leave the Bundesliga as he seeks a fresh challenge in the game and it is widely expected that a move move to Anfield for £27million will happen over the next few weeks.

Jurgen Klopp knows that he needs to keep improving, especially with Manchester City making some serious moves, and knows that he needs to add a few world class players to his already impressive midfield.

Bet despite being one of the most gifted midfielders in Europe, former Reds winger Barnes has his doubts about the Spaniard and has even claimed that he would not go straight into the first teak at Anfield.

“I don’t think he will come and be a first-team regular,” he told bonuscodebets.co.uk.

“I think Liverpool know what their best 11 is and they were 20 points ahead of everybody else, so they won’t need to change that.

“But in certain games, when teams play differently, Klopp may feel that a player like him might make a difference in certain games instead of changing the way Liverpool will play and put him ahead of one of the players, who are all very similar.

“Fabinho is the real holding midfield player that will be the first name of the midfield three, Thiago may come and add to the other two positions.”

“He’s technically very good and very good on the ball,” he added

“He’s a bit different to one of the midfield three they already have and Jurgen Klopp will know that if they’re playing in games where they need more creativity in midfield, in terms of passing quicker to the front men, or getting better quality in midfield to create more, then he’s there.

“He’ll be a very good addition to the squad and he’s of similar quality just in a different way.”
