Liverpool told Thiago wants Premier League move, Powerhouse good enough for Liverpool move, fans sent Lewis message after Liverpool move

Thiago heading to Premier League, Lewis good enough for Liverpool, Traore message sent in Liverpool news roundup…

Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has hinted that Liverpool target Thiago Alcantara could be on his way to the Premier League

Despite the fact that Liverpool are now the Champions of Europe and the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty and try to improve his squad in the summer window.

ANd there has been reports that he is still looking to add a bit quality, creativity and world class ability to his already impressive midfield and has been keeping a close eye on the developments involving Thiago.

It is believed that Thiago is not happy with the contract offer that Bayern have reportedly placed on the table and now wants to leave the club this transfer window, with the Premier League in his sights.

That is putting Bayern in a difficult situation, with Flick conceding that Thiago appears ready to take on a new challenge in English football.

He told Sport1: “I can understand when a player is concerned.

“Thiago played in Spain for FC Barcelona and in the Bundesliga for FC Bayern Munich.

“If he wants to try again in the Premier League now, I totally understand. But it would be a shame because Thiago gives our game that certain something.

“That’s why I would like, as a coach, to have him on the team for the next few years, but that’s life. It would go on.”

Adama Traore “could easily play for Manchester City or Liverpool”, according to former Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

Liverpool have been linked with so many players over the last few months that most of us have forgotten the players that have been linked, but one thing is for certain, Jurgen Klopp does not need to improve the side that much in the summer.

He has one of the best defences in the game right now, he has one of the best midfield’s and also has one of the best attacks in the game, so the players that he will bring in will only need to add to the squad, to cover injuries etc

And reports have claimed that the German coach has been impressed by the powerful Traore and is ready to pay around £40 million in the summer window to take him to Anfield and get the full potential out of his powerful frame.

Now, amid all the speculation, Lescott certainly believes the talented attacker has the ability to play for one of England’s top two clubs, after seeing him hone his skills at Molineux and add a “final product” to his game.

The former City defender told Football Index: “Adama Traore has the ability to play for any side in club football. Traore could easily play for a Manchester City or Liverpool. I have never seen such speed and strength on a football pitch before.

“Before this season, there were question marks over his game management and his final product, but he has really improved over the last 12 months.

“Traore has simplified his game and has taken his foot off the pedal. He used to sprint at his absolute fastest to beat defenders which meant he had no time to deliver a telling cross or shot.

“He now beats defenders only running at 80% which has given him that extra bit of time he needs to make the position count with a goal or assist. He was a star in the Premier League this season.”

Jamal Lewis has “got all the attributes” to form part of a Premier League title-winning squad at Liverpool, says Ian Baraclough.

Despite the fact that Liverpool are now the Champions of Europe and the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty and try to improve his squad in the summer window.

And Liverpool’s search for a suitable back-up to Andy Robertson is said to have led them towards Lewis, who took in 32 appearances for Norwich across the 2019-20 campaign and previously helped them to promotion out of the Championship.

And amid the speculation, Baraclough believes the youngster could be a shrewd addition for Liverpool and would be in favour of a move being made even if it meant Lewis seeing less football that he has become accustomed to.

The Northern Ireland boss told The Irish News: “I’ve spoken to two or three people about the proposed move. There have been differing opinions.

“As a player, I’d be saying ‘Where’s the contract, I want to sign it’.

“Why wouldn’t you want to go to the European champions, the Premier League champions and the World Club champions?

“Some people might say you won’t get as much game time, but if you’re training day in, day out, with Jurgen Klopp and the calibre of players he’d be working with, you’re going to improve as a player and it would take him to the next level.

“It would be up to him to knuckle down, if that move happens, and make sure he’s at the forefront of the manager’s thoughts.

“The amount of games they play, and the way they rotate players now, he’d certainly get game time and I certainly think it would bring him on as a player.”

Baraclough added: “He’s got all the attributes, he’s a level-headed kid and he’s one that wants to improve.

“You’ll find him in the gym before training and after training and he’s probably one of those kids, having worked with him for a little bit of time, you have to keep the reins on a bit so he doesn’t do too much.

“He wants to question you about how he can improve and I love players like that.

“I love players who invest time in themselves and don’t just settle for what they’ve got.”
