Premier League boss gives Arsenal green light after admitting ‘They could sell’ £50M star

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has admitted that the club could sell some players this summer amid talk surrounding the future of Arsenal linked Ivan Toney.

Arsenal spent some serious money in the Summer transfer window and acquired players that have really made an impact on the side – and they will be looking to improve over the summer window

The club do really have a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season and there is alot of speculation that the Gunners are keen to add another striker to the side in the summer window.

And that has led to some reports in the media that Arsenal will be interested in a £50 million move to try and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford – who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

Speaking to the BBC’s Football Daily he admitted that the club have already planned for the exit of Toney: “We are on track with a lot of things in terms of the transfers”, he said.

“Of course, we plan and then other things can happen. Maybe we are selling a player but we are prepared for that. It’s no secret that there’s lots of rumours about Ivan. If he is leaving us — and I’d still like to keep him, he’s a top player — this time we are prepared and brought in Igor Thiago.”

However – According to ARSENAL insider Team News and Ticks, the Gunners have been turned off from signing Ivan Toney this summer after meeting with the star to discuss terms.

“They don’t like him. They met him and didn’t like him,” he told the Inside Arsenal podcast. “I said in February a week prior that I thought Toney would be an Arsenal player because they met him, but I found out what happened from that meeting and that they didn’t like him.

“Essentially, I think they’d been speaking behind the scenes to him and his agent, he wanted to move to a big club and preferably Arsenal, he thought he would get tons of goals and suit the system, but they met him and they purely didn’t like him.”

Look, there is so much speculation and rumours regarding the big striker and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. But Ivan Toney would be a very good option for ARSENAL that is for sure.
