‘Destined to happen’ Agent confirms Chelsea target to make big move
A Football agent has revealed that CHELSEA target Ivan Toney is destined to leave Brentford in the coming windows.
Ivan Toney has had a massive season for Brentford and has netted 21 times in all competitions this campaign – but he is about to spend alot of time out of the game.
Toney has been hit with the heavy punishment after admitting 232 breaches of FA betting rules and will now be banned from all football activities until 16 January 2024.
However – that has not stopped all the speculation surrounding his future and there has been rumours that Toney is still a player that Ted Boehly would like to bring to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to The Athletic, an agent named Toney as someone widely expected to secure a big move before too long, even if he’s currently banned from playing full matches until January.
It will be interesting to see how this saga develops, but one agent told The Athletic: “It’s destined to happen when he gets back (after his ban) and (the deal) can get sorted whilst he’s out. Good for him and maybe even Brentford too.”
According to The Times, Brentford have slapped an £80m price tag on their striker, with the Bees resigned to losing him, and they have stated the club are braced to receive bids for Toney once his suspensions ends on January 16.

Toney may now be out of the game for a while – but he still a player that can bang in the goals on a weekly basis.
If CHELSEA wants to sign a striker – Toney could be their man as he is already proven in the Premier League and is a player that Pochettino would love to work for.
There is no doubt that Chelsea will need to sign a new striker in the January window as the current set of players they have are simply not good enough, we do not know what the board were thinking with some of the signings they made over the summer.
The January window will be a chance for Chelsea to save their season – and if they fail to get a player like Toney again, then Mauricio Pochettino may not be at the club as long as he had hoped for.
