Newcastle United have been encouraged to sign £500,000-a-week Bale from Madrid
Darren Bent believes Newcastle United should sign Gareth Bale this summer, as the Real Madrid superstar looks set to depart the club at the end of the season.
The transfer window has just finished and Newcastle United fans can be really happy about the players that were signed by the club, as they should keep them in the Premier League.
And if that happens, which we are sure will, there are reports that the board will make some big moves and try to sign some superstars that will not only send a message to the rest of the Premier League, but improve their chances of winning something and maybe getting into Europe.
And that has led to many reports in the media suggesting that the Toon board may be willing to offer Gareth Bale a move back to the Premier League when he leaves Madrid in the coming months
After a much-beleaguered nine years in the Spanish capital with a transfer fee that broke English football records, Gareth Bale’s contract with Real Madrid is finally up in the summer.
Despite helping himself to many goals and alot of titles, fans have never really taken to him and speculation surrounding his desire to play in the Premier League has once again hit the headlines.
Bale’s infamy within the Real Madrid team – and with the fans – has long since been documented, with his agent Jonathan Barnett telling Deportes Cuatro recently: “It’s not important, I don’t care what they think. I don’t care about them [Real Madrid fans]. Why should I care? I think the fans treated him disgustingly.”
He had a decent time at Spurs, but with the London club unable to match his £500,000-a-week wages, there is a real opportunity for Newcastle to swoop in and get a deal done
The Real Madrid superstar rolled back the years on Thursday night by bagging a spectacular brace against Austria to book Wales a World Cup playoff place, And now, amid the speculation, Bent has encouraged Newcastle to offer Bale a move to the club: “He is incredible, Gareth Bale, we have seen it time and time again,” he told talkSPORT.
“That’s a superstar signing they are looking for. I think they (Newcastle fans) would be happy with it.”
