Mourinho told there is one way Tottenham can bring Gonzalez to the club

David Ornestein has claimed that there is only one way that Tottenham can sign Nicolas Gonzalez.

Gonzalez scored eight goals in nine games following the enforced break last season to help fire Stuttgart back into the German top-flight, And he’s continued his purple patch by scoring five goals in ten Bundesliga games this season.

His form for the German outfit has led to alot of speculation in the media that Tottenham are very interested in bringing the star to the Premier League in a deal that could cost the club £30 million.

However, amid all the speculation, Ornestein has opened up and suggested that Tottenham would need to sell players before they could sign Gonzalez, HE SAID: “Well, it’s interesting that you mention the winger situation at Tottenham, because the only way Tottenham could bring in Nico Gonzalez or anybody else, is if they have some departures.

“Gareth Bale is kind of separate because he was a standalone signing in his own right, they didn’t really need that position filled it was an opportunity.

“But let’s see what happens with Lamela, Moura and Bergwijn, and if there’s any space freed up, perhaps Tottenham can bring someone in, and they’ve held some very early discussions with Gonzalez.”

Tottenham do have alot of players in the squad that they do not need, or that are now seen as just squad players, so if Tottenham did decide to get a deal done, they could raise enough funds to get this deal done.

But despite his great form, would he actually be worth the money?
