£35M valued midfielder ‘would thrive at Arsenal’ Arteta told ahead of possible arrival

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Leandro Trossard would thrive at a club like Chelsea or Arsenal.

Ever since moving to Brighton back in 2019 – Trossard has been one of the most impressive players for Brighton and a man that is attracting all sorts of interest

After Graham Potter departed the club for a move to Chelsea earlier in the season – it has been widely claimed that the Gunners will step up their attempts to get a deal done for the player and will make a move in the January window

And if you believe the words of pundit – he would thrive in a side like the Gunners or the Blues

He told TalkSport: ‘He’s improved so much. He’s adding goals as well, he’s a threat.

‘The goal he scored [against Chelsea], composure, into the corner of the net and he could be one that starts regularly for Belgium.

‘He’s going to attract a lot of clubs over Europe. Premier League clubs as well. I think he could do a job at Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs.

‘So I think now he’s playing like he is, maybe January, if Brighton can get a bit of money for him, they might sell him in January.’

What has he said?

Trossard said: “It’s difficult to say anything about that now, it completely depends on which club would come. If I feel good and things are good on a private level… but I also know how good I am at Brighton, also with new coach Roberto De Zerbi it looks promising.

“I’m a little higher up the pitch now, which gives me more chances to score a goal. And the more chances you get, the more you can score.

“I think that’s the biggest difference from the last few years.”
