Tuchel gets transfer promise, Target wants £300,000-a-week contract, Suarez sends Barcelona message and Chelsea sent Jadon Sancho message from Dortmund
Tuchel gets transfer promise, Haaland wants massive contract, Luis sends Barcelona message and Sancho message sent in latest Chelsea news from icfootballnews…
Reports have claimed Chelsea target Erling Haaland wants a five-year deal worth £78 million.
Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football and the man that will eventually go on to become the best striker in the game, and has been linked with a transfer move to all the games biggest clubs.
Chelsea have apparently made Haaland their top transfer target ahead of the summer, as The Blues have been tipped to go all-out for the Norwegian striker, with Thomas Tuchel apparently set to move for a new centre-forward.
Now, according to reports on the Daily Express website, the 20-year-old is looking to to secure a five-year package worth £78million if he comes to England.
That works out at least £300,000-a-week, a similar sort of deal to what Raheem Sterling currently earns, but less than City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne and Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Haaland has always been quiet on his future, but gave a brief hint over this plans.
When asked about the number of teams interested in his services, Haaland replied: “It’s always nice when people want you.”
Look, that is alot of money to spend on the player, but at the end of the day, he is certainly a player that would be a great investment for Chelsea.
Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia has apparently promised Thomas Tuchel that he will get the same treatment at the end of the season.
Tuchel was brought to the club too late in the January transfer window to sign players and put his own stamp on the side, which means that he will have to wait until the end of the season to get the players that he wants and needs.
The likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy all arrived for substantial fees ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, but Frank Lampard was unable to get the best out of his players, and he was ultimately sacked by the Blues board.
Now, According to the Sunday World, Granovskaia is willing to shell out £172million for Borussia Dortmund duo Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland.
Haaland and Sancho are regarded as two of the most exciting players in world football, and they are heavily tipped to pack their bags and leave the German outfit during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea have been linked with both players for some time now, but have not been able to get deals done, as Dortmund have had no desire to let the players leave, but that could change in the summer.
It is claimed that both players are ready to leave Dortmund in the transfer window and will cash in on their star duo, for the right amount of money.
Shock Chelsea target Luis Suarez has revealed the most disappointing aspect of his departure from Barcelona was that the club said he was too old to perform at the highest level.
Suarez has been in the media over the past few days after news broke that new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel may be interested in trying to bring the experienced striker back to the Premier League in the summer.
However, The 34-year-old Uruguayan is happy in his new surrounds, despite admitting it was tough to uproot his family, but is still irked by being billed as too old by former club Barcelona
“What really bothered me was when they told me that I was old and that I could no longer play at a high level, be up to [the task of fronting] a great team,” Suarez told France Football. “That’s what I did not like.”
Suarez claims his record stood up to the closest scrutiny, and that the club erred in signing players not on an elite level.
“If I hadn’t done anything at a club like Barca for three or four seasons, I would have understood,” he said. “But, every year at Barca, I scored more than 20 goals per season. I have always had good statistics, just behind Leo (Messi).
“Today, we can see that it is not easy to play at Barca … A lot of players who signed there did not have the level that was expected of them. Me, I played for six years at Barca maintaining a certain level and living up to what was expected of me.
“At Barca, circumstances have changed, the club needed changes. And I accepted it. The only thing that bothered me was the way [it happened]. I think I deserved some respect.
“It was a decision that I could not prevent. I felt like I was no longer being counted on, so with my pride I told myself that I was going to continue to show what I am worth. This is why the idea of going to Atletico, a competitive team, appealed to me.”
Chelsea target Jadon Sancho is impressing without the pressure of transfer talk, according to Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.
It is no secret that Sancho was the number one transfer target for the top clubs during the summer transfer window, but no deal could get done for the winger as his asking price was far too high.
Sancho endured a slow start to the 2020-21 campaign after being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League giants, but has started to get back to his best since the turn of the year.
The England international netted his 10th goal of the season in a 4-0 win at Schalke on Saturday, and also set up one of Erling Haaland’s efforts, with Watzke glad to see him showing his “incredible quality” again after a testing period.
Watzke told Sport 1: “Jadon is doing really well at the moment, he’s back. But that was only a matter of time. All the transfer talk in the summer has already been forgotten.
“Edin [Terzic] talked to him a lot. Jadon has shown again in the last few weeks what incredible quality he is. We are very happy that he is playing for us.”
