Tuchel OFFICIALLY addresses the reports Chelsea to hold talks with £65M valued powerhouse
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken once again on the Romelu Lukaku scandal – after his agent came out and claimed that talks were planned
Lukaku become the most deadly striker in Italian football and many fans were hoping that his arrival would bring goals, and along with that, more trophies to add to the cabinet.
However, that has not been the case and Lukaku has looked nothing like the man that dominated Serie A last season, and has even admitted that he simply cannot adapt to the style of play of Tuchel
And of course that has led to all sorts of speculation in the media that Chelsea would be very open to letting him leave the club and use the money to sign an adequate replacement.
Amid all the speculation – his agent Federico Pastorello insists the Belgian is fully committed to the club – but admits there has been “problems” since he big move move.
Now Tuchel has responded and has said regarding the rumours his agent wants a meeting with the Chelsea hierarchy: “I think if he plans to talk with the owner, maybe it is not his plan to talk with me. It’s fair enough. Let’s see if he gets a meeting. It is his right. We will talk to anybody.
“We will evaluate any situation of any player, including Romelu. We will see what is going to happen and what the plans are.”
When asked about if he has concerns about the media noise regarding Lukaku ahead of such a big game, Tuchel responded: “I was only made aware of it five or ten minutes ago, actually. It’s what sometimes happens in football.
“The attention is so high that sometimes it attracts situations that you don’t want to have before big matches. It’s the way it is.
“For me, it is not a distraction and hopefully, for everybody that works on the team and the team itself, it is not.”
Lukaku and his agent are bringing un-wanted headlines to Chelsea and that is not good for all involved
We would not be shocked to see him leave the club in the summer guys
