Chelsea fans told Thomas Tuchel wants to bring striker to Stamford Bridge
Fans have been told that Thomas Tuchel would like to add a striker to that Chelsea attack this summer
Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner both decided to leave the club this transfer window as they were not happy at Stamford Bridge – and that means that Thomas Tuchel needs to add a strikero to his attack
That has led to some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are very much interested in trying to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona and have reportedly made an offer to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford.
Now fans have been told if Chelsea will be signing a striker over the next couple of weeks – and have been told that Tuchel would like to add a forward to that front-line
The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell said:
“The fact that Chelsea had a lot of chances against Tottenham and didn’t score as many as they could’ve done, you feel that if they had a centre forward up top that they probably would have scored more goals.
“It’s the world’s smallest violin for a team that has spent as much as they have over the years. But Tuchel will be thinking about his own team and the fact that he would like a striker.
“If he can get Wesley Fofana in – he’s a top player and has years ahead of him, so I can see why they are going for that one. But I guess the more immediate concern is that centre forward spot.”
