Champions League winner ‘wants’ Chelsea move after holding talks with Board!
Thomas Tuchel is keen to return to Chelsea after holding talks with the Blues after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season – but looked like a side that was starting to get things going towards the back end of the season with a number of impressive wins.
Pochettino done the best job that he could with a squad that is one of the youngest in the Premier League and with a side that is lacking in world class talent i key areas of the pitch – but the board opted to let him lewave.
But it could be a familiar face that takes over the reins, with Sky Sport Germany reporting that Tuchel is a ‘very concrete’ option.
Bayern did make a last-minute attempt to convince Tuchel to stay, with his agent, Olaf Meinking, meeting with the club’s hierarchy last week.
However, Tuchel confirmed that no agreement was found and Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to Hoffenheim was his final game: ‘There were talks, but we didn’t reach an agreement, so the decision of February still stands.
They even claim ‘relaxed discussions’ have taken place in the past few days, before a decision on Pochettino’s future had even been confirmed.
Tuchel feels his task at CHELSEA is ‘unfulfilled’ and can imagine himself returning to the club, though the Blues’ hierarchy may decide to go down a different route.

Tuchel is a very good coach – he just led Bayern Munich to that Champions League Semi-finals – but we would be shocked to see him come back to Chelsea. He would want to have more control than the board are keen on.
The decision to get rid of Pochettino may backfire for the club as he could have been a very good boss – who will want to manage a side that spend lots of money on young talents rather than established players.
CHELSEA needs a top-class coach – not a young manager that will not last long at the club.
