Big man announces ‘Arsenal good move for me to make’ after sealing summer move

Matt Turner has opened up about his time at Arsenal following his move to Nottingham Forest.

The American star only moved to the Emirates last summer in hope that he could make a big impact at ARSENAL – but he was finding himself sitting on the bench pretty much every week.

He did keep three clean sheets in five UEFA Europa League outings for the Gunners as well as starting four times for the USA during their FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar, but was told he was free to leave this transfer window.

And after Nottingham Forest announced that he has signed for the club – Turner has now opened up and reflected on his time at the Emirates – and thanked the club for his time in London.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

He WAS QUOTED: “It was always a good stepping stone for my career to play for Arsenal, to be at Arsenal.

“It helped me to become #1 for the national team and play in the World Cup and that was always the goal and now I’ve found myself playing in the Premier League at another club.

“You always kind of got to get over here, get your foot in the door and find what’s right and today I felt really good.”

GOOD MOVE TO MAKE FOR TURNER?

There is no doubt that his career was going backwards staying at ARSENAL and sitting in the bench – so he will now be hoping that he is able to make move of an impact in that Forest side.

There will not be many complaints about his move – it is the correct one for him and his career – Forest are getting a very solid stopper.
