Excited star sends message to Arsenal fans after completing summer move!

Matt Turner completed his move from Arsenal to Nottingham Forest this week and he has now sent a message to the Gooner fans.

After making the move to ARSENAL last summer after impressing in the MLS – Turner was hoping to be given more of a chance in that Gunners side than what he managed.

However – the continued great performances of Aaron Ramsdale last seaon meant that he spent most of the time sitting on the bench – and the arrival of David Raya means that he would be well down the pecking order.

That allowed Nottingham Forest to swoop in and take him away from the Emirates, and talkSPORT understands the Gunners will pocket £7million for the American international.

Now Turner has penned an emotional goodbye to the Emirates faithful.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Writing on Instagram, he said: “What a Time! Thank you for the memories, Gooners.

“I genuinely gave my all every single day to try to push and help the club as much as I could. I hope the fans always felt that.

“My family will forever feel at home in north London, Easton, even seemingly falling in love with the sport!

“We accomplished so many things and made so many lifelong friendships at Arsenal.

“That being said, it’s time for a new challenge in my career and in our family life.

“I’m so excited for what’s to come. See you on the other side, my Dawgs.”

GREAT MOVE FOR TURNER TO MAKE – 

This is a very good decision to pack his bags and move on – he doesn’t need to sit on the bench and collect that big wage at the Emirates – he wants to play.

ARSENAL fans will thank him for his time with the club and wish him all the best – when he did play – he gave his best and that is all the fans asked for.
