Madrid will allow Arsenal to sign Midfielder – Gunners in contact to sign Dutchman – Arteta gets fresh Umtiti chance

Arsenal will be able to sign Casemiro for bargain – Gunners in Depay contact and Arsenal to be offered Umtiti in Arsenal news of the day…

Real Madrid will allow midfielder Casemiro to leave in the summer and join the likes of Arsenal for £42.5 million – but would he be a good signing for the club?

With the season pretty much over for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta- the German boss will be drawing up a list of possible signings that will help him close the gap on Man City and Liverpool for next season

Arsenal will need to delve into that transfer kitty and sign some top-level – experienced players – which has led to many reports in the media linking the Gunners with a move for Madrid star Casemiro

The Brazilian has been a big feature in that Madrid side in the transfer window – but he is reportedly looking for the kind of contract that he feels that his performances this season deserves

But as a result, it’s believed that Real Madrid will not be able to hand him that kind of contract and will welcome offers for the Brazil international this summer and they’re prepared to let Casemiro go if a bid of around £42.5 million is made.

Though, the report notes that the La Liga champions will ‘gladly’ keep the defensive midfielder if he retracts his desire for a raise

Casemiro is a very good midfielder – but the pace of the Premier League and this stage of his career would make him a very poor transfer decision from Arsenal to sign

He is looking for more money as he knows he is in the final stages of his top-level footballing career – so is looking for that final pay off before he runs off into the sunset

The Gunners need players that are there for the right reasons or they will not get the success that fans are craving

Casemiro would not be a good signing for the club

Arsenal in Depay contact….

Arsenal have contacted Barcelona regarding a summer swoop for Memphis Depay – it has been claimed in the media today

Depay has been a player over the past few months that has been in the transfer headlines alot, with all the top Premier League clubs, along with the likes of Arsenal and PSG linked with the former Manchester United star.

Depay flopped during his last stint in the Premier League, but his move to Lyon turned his career around and that prompted Barcelona to make their move and take him to Spanish football hoping that he would bring goals to the squad.

However, he has found himself increasingly on the bench since Xavi took charge of the Catalans, and is likely to be one of the players moved on in the next window as Barca look to raise funds.

The Gunners are in the market for at least one forward, and ABC believe they are now contemplating making the Dutchman their first choice – with the reports also suggesting that the Gunners board have already contacted Barca about a possible deal

Depay went to French football and showed that he is a very good striker in a League that is far below the Spanish and English Leagues – he has gone to Barcelona and flopped once again

So why would the Gunners make a move for a man that has flopped in the Premier League -flopped in the Spanish League when given the chance to play for a top team

If they are looking to add goals to the side – they are looking in the wrong places guys

Depay is not the answer to their issues

Arsenal to get Umtiti chance…

There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Arsenal are to be offered the chance to sign Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona this summer.

It is no secret that Barcelona are one of the greatest teams in world football right now and are only a handful of sides that are able to pay massive wages to superstars like Gerard Pique and Antoine Griezmann.

However, it is no secret that Barcelona are a club that are in debt and they will be looking to offload a number of players in the summer transfer window in order to generate some funds in order to sign their own transfer targets.

And according to reports from the Daily Star, they no longer wish to keep hold of Umtiti and have offered him to the likes of Arsenal, United, Tottenham and Chelsea for a bargain price of just £20 million.

umtiti is rated very highly across Europe and has been linked with a move to the Premier League on many occasions, but he has tried to prove that he has the ability to be a Barcelona player, without really being given a real shot at that chance.

If the reports is true and Barcelona are being forced to sell some players this transfer window, or the next, then there are a few players that Arsenal should try and acquire that would make a serious statement to the rest of the Premier League.

Umtiti may not be playing his best football at Barcelona, but at the right club, he could be a massive signing and if Arsenal do decide to pay £20 million to get a deal done, he would be well worth the money.

Arteta knows that he has a very exciting young squad that can play some brilliant football – but he needs to add experienced players to the side that have played at the highest level

And Umtiti is a man that has done that – been there and got the trophies to prove it
