Manchester United told to NOT sell £325k-a-week star this summer
Former Manchester hitman Dwight Yorke has urged his old side NOT to sell Marcus Rashford this summer.
Rashford has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season and looks nothing like the player that netted 30 goals for MAN UNITED just a few seasons ago.
He has really struggled this season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for Manchester United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability.
Speculation about him leaving the club this summer has wavered in recent weeks – but there has been more talk that the England striker could once again be sold at some point this transfer window.
Now – Yorke has opened up and told the club that they should not sell Rashford this summer – The former United hitman was quoted on the SUN: “Should Manchester United sell Marcus Rashford?
“I wouldn’t sell my best player, personally. Rashford on his day is better than any other player at Manchester United, even Bruno Fernandes.
” Rashford is exciting, he kills teams, Manchester United need to build around him and get the best out of him.
“Erik ten Hag needs to make Rashford feel special, and then we can talk about Man United getting back to the top.”
Erik ten Hag is convinced Marcus Rashford will return to his 30-goal form of two seasons ago, and the Manchester United manager is equally sure new coach Ruud van Nistelrooy can show him how.
Ten Hag said: “That is the reason why he is here. But not only for the strikers, he is much more than this but Rashford can only improve himself.
“He is capable, he scores so many goals and at a relative young age, so many goals, so he is capable of it.
“I am confident and have 100 per cent belief he can do the same as two years ago.”
