United fans will hate this after legend sends big Liverpool message to fans after 30 years of hurt
Manchester United legend Gary Neville can’t see anyone stopping Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side as they go in search of a first league title in 30 years.
Roberto Firmino scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute as Jurgen Klopp’s side, who have now gone 38 league games without defeat, sealed their 20th win of the season to move 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The 1-0 won over the Spurs also means that Liverpool are a massive 16 points ahead in the Premier League, and with the club playing such brilliant football, it is only a matter of time before they are crowned Champions of England for the first time in 30 years.
“It’s a huge win, although they were a little sloppy in the second half,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“They are outstanding, brilliant to watch and doing everything a championship-winning team should be doing. I can’t see anyone stopping them.
“The records for Klopp are incidental right now. The only thing that matters is lifting the Premier League trophy.
“I think the lead is unassailable,” he added. “Klopp will never say it but his team are playing so well and are so in control and they are still growing and getting better.
“He won’t care if he loses one or two games, he just wants that trophy. When we were asking Pep last year about records, because City have won it before they probably could look to beat their previous title victories but for Liverpool it’s all about getting that first Premier League title.”
Look, Klopp is not a dumb man and knows that there is a lot of games to go before he can say that he has conquered the English game, but even if they lost a few games, it is hard to see them giving up the title now, especially as they are so far ahead.
Klopp will tell you that the title is not won, and it is not, but United fans will be unhappy at the fact that the club are heading in the opposite direction to Liverpool, especially after dominating the Premier league for so many years.
