Manchester United decision made about completing £51M signing!
Manchester United have reportedly ended their bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain ace Manuel Ugarte.
Ugarte, 23, joined the French club from Sporting last summer after spending the previous two-and-a-half seasons in Portugal. He moved to Europe from South America as a teenager, months after debuting for the senior Uruguay side
While he was a first-team regular during the first-half of the season under Luis Enrique, he lost his place in the side in the second-half of the season.
PSG are eager to recoup the £51m they spent on the 23-year-old with Fabrizio Romano recently reporting that a number of clubs are very much interested in trying to get a bargain transfer deal done this summer.
Talks between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain about a move for midfielder Manuel Ugarte have been going on for weeks – but the Red Devils have not been able to wrap up a deal for the midfield star.
Now – According to The Athletic, United are “switching the focus of their search to sign a midfielder away from Manuel Ugarte”.
The same source claims the Red Devils have been put off by PSG’s asking price of roughly £50million

Look, Manchester United know how much they want to pay for Ugarte – they know the market value of the player and PSG are just being petty over a few million – so this is why the Manchester giants are ready to walk away from the deal.
This move should have happened weeks ago – but if the reports are true and United are walking away from signing Ugarte – then there are plenty more players that Ten Hag can bring to the club – there is plenty of time left in the window to get a few more deals done.
