Manchester United decide £45M midfielder will be a Red Devil this summer
Manchester United do not want to sell Scott McTominay and plan on keeping hold of the midfielder this summer, it has been claimed.
The Scotland international was in the starting line-up as United stunned Manchester City to win the FA Cup final in May, and seemed to be a big part of the plans of Erik Ten Hag.
A sale of McTominay this summer looked much less likely than last, but Galatasaray’s vice-chairman recently suggested that it is very much a possibility after confirming that both clubs are in talks over a potential deal for the midfielder.
Ibrahim Hatipoglu told CNN Turk: ‘We are interested in a player from the Premier League and Manchester United
‘There is nothing more natural than the high cost of this. There are discussions regarding his transfer fee. For us, the total cost, including transfer fees and player receivables [salary], is important at the decision point.
‘Once the negotiations with both the club and the player are completed, the cost becomes apparent.’
‘McTominay’s transfer is being discussed,’
However – according to the London Evening Standard – United have now made the decision to keep hold of McTominay this summer window.
The club also turned down an offer from Fulham for the player, and rejected interest from Tottenham
Spurs are also rumoured to have an interest

He is a solid player that puts a good shift in – but if Manchester United wants to get back into the habit of competing at the very highest level of the game – then replacing the Scottish star may be the best thing.
He will be a squad member this coming season – if he moves – he could be first choice.
