West Ham free to get deal done after Brilliantly gifted Dutchman confirms he wants January move –
Long-term West Ham target Donny van de Beek has revealed his desire to make a January move away from Manchester United.
The 26-year-old has played just 21 minutes of action for Erik ten Hag’s side this season – appearances off the bench against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
There has been alot of speculation and media attention surrounding his future at the club for the past few seasons, and WEST HAM are one of the clubs that are reportedly interested in a potential deal in the January window.
Van de Beek – who was on the bench for Man Utd’s 3-0 win over Everton – has now revealed that he would like to leave Man United in the January window and that he was close to joining Real Sociedad in the summer but talks broke down at the last minute.
“The time comes when a decision has to be made. I have to start playing games very soon, if it’s not possible at United, then I will go to another club”, Van de Beek told Diario AS.
“I think this is a healthy ambition. I make a good living at United, but money has never been my motivation.
“I was close to going to Real Sociedad, but at the last minute, the clubs could not reach an agreement.”
SHOULD WEST HAM MAKE A MOVE?
Van De Beek made the wrong decision making the move to Man United all those transfer windows ago, it really has ruined his career. But David Moyes could get the very best out of the man if the Hammers made a move in the coming windows.
He is only 26-years of age and has plenty of time to get back to his best, so if there is a chance of getting a deal done, WEST HAM should take it.
