ex-Chelsea star has hailed ‘the exciting signing’Blues have pulled off
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has hailed the Chelsea signing of the ‘very exciting’ Enzo Fernandez
After months and months of transfer speculation – Chelsea decided to break the British transfer record to bring the gifted midfielder to the Premier League for a staggering £106 million.
He has also been signed on a massive eight-and-a-half year contract – which many believe is a staggering amount of money for a player that has done pretty much nothing in the game.
The Argentina international showcased his ability throughout the tournament at the World Cup for the South American side, playing a starring role in his nation’s journey to their third world title.

He has impressed during his brief time at Stamford Bridge and now Hasselbaink – who was at Stamford Bridge for four years during his playing days – expects Fernandez to be a ‘big player and big star’ for Chelsea over the next few years.
‘Enzo Fernandez is very exciting,’ he told The Hindustan Times. ‘He’s a young player but he’s very aggressive and technically very good as well.
‘What I like, as an ex-striker, is he’s always looking to play forward. I believe he’s going to be a big player, a big star for Chelsea.’

The money that Chelsea have paid for Fernandez is crazy – there s no doubt about that guys – but he has looked impressive so far at the club.
We can see why Chelsea wanted him so badly – we can see what they saw in his performances and we can see why he has been signed on a massive contract.
But we are still not so sure that he is worth the money that has been paid.
