Manchester United are set to open talks with RB Leipzig, but will have to wait until the summer to land Dayot Upamecano, According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano,

The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best young defenders in the world and has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool over the past 12 months as he continues to impress on the highest stage of the game.

However, Man Utd have also reportedly entered the chase to try and get the young man all signed up in the coming transfer windows as they seek to add another defender to that back-line.

RB Leipzig have recently admitted that the right amount of money would get a transfer deal done, but the latest reports suggest that the Bundesliga side are not open to selling one of their prized assets in the January Transfer window, despite the fact he has a release clause in his contract

And according to Italian Romano, Chelsea will have to wait until the end of the season to try and get their man: he Tweeted: “RB Leipzig are not open to sell Dayot Upamecano in January. He’s expected to leave the club next summer – many clubs interested and set to open talks with his agent. The release clause value is €42m. ⛔️ #transfers #Leipzig

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is open to Manchester United signing another influential mid-season player, but admits it’s unlikely.

Bruno Fernandes’ arrival from Portugal last January has proven to be a masterstroke and gave United the chance to get back into the Champions League, which they ultimately managed because of the Portuguese stars goals.

There has been alot of speculation in the media that Man Utd may try and get a few more transfer deals done, but even though the manager is happy with what he has at his disposal, he has admitted that he would be open to making another January signing

“The situation is different now from a year ago, so it’s unlikely something is going to happen,” Solskjaer said.

“But you’re right: Bruno came in and has had a great impact, made us a better team and he’s become a better player as well. If there was something out there that was nailed on I wouldn’t say no but it’s likely nothing is going to happen.”

United could end the week six points clear of Liverpool, if they beat Burnley on Tuesday and win at Anfield five days later, but Solskjaer is convinced that his players will not get carried away regardless of what happens this week.

“Nobody remembers January league tables,” the United manager said. “And if at one point you think: ‘Ah, we’ve made it now, we have cracked it,’ and you relax, that is when it’s going to hit you in the back.

“We have to be aggressive. We have to go into every game humble and not even think for one second that we’ve cracked it if we’re near the top. That’s not the type of players we have.”

Manchester United have been told to sign unhappy Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos.

The Real Madrid legend is out of contract at the end of the season and has not yet put pen to paper on fresh terms, which has led to alot of speculation in the media that a number of Premier League side are interested in bringing him to the Premier League.

Manchester City and Liverpool currently lead the chase to get a deal done for the Spaniard, but ex-Red Devil Dimitar Berbatov has told United to secure a deal for the 34-year-old defender.

It is no secret that United have been fans of Ramos for many seasons now, but have never been able to get a deal wrapped up, but now that there is a chance to finally get one all done, they have been urged to make a move

“I have read the reports about Sergio Ramos and there is a lot of speculation about his future. He could bring a lot of experience and steel to any team,” he told Betfair.

“Although he is 34, he is still a top player and United could do a lot worse. If he is available I can see a lot of teams interested in signing him.”

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand is tipping new boy Amad Diallo to become a ‘world beater’ at Old Trafford.

After agreeing a monster £37 million move for the young man last summer, Man Utd fans had to wait until the January transfer window to officially see the player arrive to complete his dream move.

The Ivorian has barely featured for the Serie A side this season as United wanted to ensure he would be fit and hadn’t sustained a long-term injury by the time he was due to arrive in the north-west, but there are many out there that firmly believe he will become a top player in the coming seasons.

Ferdinand was already excited by the look of Diallo after watching clips of the winger but the former England captain says discussions with staff at the club have confirmed his belief that the Ivorian could become a ‘world beater’.

“We just bought a kid in from Atalanta and hopefully he does something [to boost United’s season],” Ferdinand told the FIVE YouTube channel.

“If you see his clips and speak to some of the people at the club that were involved in buying him…. potentially this kid could be an absolute world beater.

“I think that’s the thoughts of Manchester United people that they’ve unearthed…. I’m not going to give him that pressure of Cristiano Ronaldo but nobody knew about Ronaldo when we bought him really other than people in Portugal.

“This kid seems quite similar in that sense; if you see his clips and the way people talk about him then I think the world is his oyster if he applies himself right.”

There is alot of excitement around the young man and he wont even be featuring in the first team just yet. We just hope that there is not too much excitement, and it gets to him.
