Portuguese International tells fans ‘I promise only to work, work, work’ after deciding to join Arsenal

Fabio Vieira has told Arsenal fans that he will work hard hard to prove himself at the Emirates and the Premier League

Over the past FEW DAYS Arsenal stepped up their bid to complete their second major deal of the transfer window – and have managed to convince Porto into letting Vieira depart the club

Vieira, who has primarily operated as an attacking midfielder or second striker for Porto, registered six goals and 14 assists in the Primeira Liga last season – and is a player that the Gunners have been keeping a close eye on

Vieira will pen a five-year contract with the Premier League giants in a deal that will cost the club around £30 million and he has told Fans that he will work hard as he knows the Premier League is not easy

The midfielder said: “I was always happy at Porto but this chance is important for any professional.

“Playing in the Premier League won’t be easy and I promise only to work, work, work.

“My agent worked on the deal between the two clubs and I accepted the deal because it was important for all parties. I have always watched the Premier League on TV.”

Another transfer window – but the same old Arsenal

Fans were hoping that a few established players were going to make the move to London and not more talents that have a bright future in the game

Vieira has a few more years before he will really be a good player – but he will not make much of a difference in that side next season

Arsenal fans are finding very difficult to get excited about a player that hasnt really done anything in the game to make us believe that he is worth so much money
