Arsenal ‘have the advantage’ in bid to wrap up deal for Premier League star, Brazilian to be at Arsenal in January claims father, Arsenal told possible £68 signing will be great
Vlahovic to be a great, Arsenal have Sterling advantage and Martinelli will be at Arsenal in January in Arsenal roundup…
ergej Milinković-Savić has predicted that Arsenal’s target Dusan Vlahovic, will finish his playing career as one of football’s greats.
The Gunners may be impressing this season after a slow start to the new campaign, but there is a strong feeling that Mikel Arteta knows that he still needs to add another striker to that attack, especially as Alexandre Lacazette looks all set to leave
And that has led to alot of speculation that the Gunners boss is determined to try and secure a transfer deal for Vlahovic, after the big centre-forward became the talk of Serie A having gunned in 25 league goals in 2021, more than any other player
The Serbian international, who was born in 2000, rifled home 21 goals in 37 outings in Serie A last term and he’s continued his fine goalscoring form since the start of the new campaign.
The Gunners are facing serious competition for his signature with the likes of Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, all interested in a move for him, and amid the speculation, Milinković-Savić knows why and in a recent interview, he maintains that “good” doesn’t describe the striker well because he is simply better than good.
He told FIFA: “Good? He’s not good, he’s outstanding. I’m quite certain the stats would back that up, considering his age.
“However, I think he’s the type of player who still gets annoyed when he doesn’t play well, so he’s definitely going to get better and get the world talking about him, which is something I like about him.
“In both training and matches, he never takes it lightly when he misses a chance, so he has a hunger for scoring goals and winning. I like how he wants to prove himself, so I think he’s bound to become one of the greats.”
Gabriel Martinelli will not be leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window, his father has admitted
Regarded as the future at the Emirates, Martinelli is a player that most Gunners fans are hoping develops into the player that he is being tipped to become
The 20-year-old is struggling for regular minutes under Mikel Arteta and there had been suggestions that he would leave the club in the coming transfer window in order to get some more game time
A number of clubs in Europe are said to be keen with loans being mooted, including Newcastle, but no deal will be done over the winter as Martinelli endeavours to prove his worth at Emirates Stadium.
Reacting to the rumours with Yahoo, Martinelli’s father Joao said: “Since he came back from an injury, he’s been playing a lot less than he would have liked.
“There has been some talk of proposals from Europe, but Arsenal have already warned that they will not release him.
“People like him a lot. Not only for what he does when he plays, but also for his dedication. Martinelli is almost always the first to arrive for training and the last to leave.”
Martinelli suffered a serious knee injury in June 2020 that kept him out of action for the best part of six months. He was eased back into the Gunners fold upon his return and has suffered another couple of knocks since.
Martinelli has so much potential that is being wasted on that Arsenal bench, and the fact he wants to stay, could be a bad decision. At Newcastle he could have got the game time that he is looking for
The Toon will be doing alot of business, so this news will come as a massive blow to their chances of getting a few loan deals done in January
