Arsenal get transfer boost after £35 million target told ‘he is wasting away’ at Manchester United
Arsenal target Donny Van de Beek has been told that he is wasting away at Manchester United according to former Netherlands international Marciano Vink.
Van De Beek was a big money buy in the summer transfer window after establishing himself as one of the most creative players in Europe with Ajax, but since his move to Manchester, he has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the side.
He can barely get in the Premier League squad, nevermind get some game time on a weekly basis and that has led to many reports in the media that he could depart the RED DEVILS if the right offer is made
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer move for the player, as Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster that midfield, and even though Martin Odegaard is heading back to the club, the Gunners could still have a bit more money to make a sneaky move for Van De Beek
Now, amid all the speculation, Vink has told Van De Beek that he is wasting away at Manchester United: “He is wasting away at United,” he told Voetbal Zone.
“Of course he has one of the best, currently number tens in Europe as a competitor. Bruno Fernandes is fantastic. If you see what he did against Leeds United last weekend… I think you get really small on the bench, you want to go home and kick in all the doors there.”
“You’ve got Scott McTominay, you’ve got Paul Pogba… It just won’t work. You saw when he came in last season that he was a shadow of the player he was at Ajax. He walked with his soul under his arm.”
“The balls he got were then just behind him, or not played well, and then you don’t get into your rhythm. It got worse by the week.”
